susanb2 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I am writing from Seattle, but 6 months ago I was living in Florida. I came to Seattle for a 2 week vacation, met a guy, we got engaged, and I haven't returned back home yet. Now, the dreamy, lovely feelings we shared are being replaced with a cold, hard, slap of reality. This guy is really fantastic and I love him; however I want to back off a little to regroup and see if this is what I really want, but it seems impossible to do since we are living together and acting like we are married. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can give myself some space and still live with him? I am a confused because I have a ring on my finger, I live with him, but I really want space. Florida is a really long way to go. This seems like a black and white situation, (meaning Florida or Seattle ) Is there any options that I am not thinking of?
