Insanitylater Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The lesson learned in this video can be utilized in dating and relationships, as well as many other aspects of life. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=7dc_1288036287 Too many people grasp onto the "think positive" concept because they grew up being told that, and they use it as a crutch. Mostly because people in general dont like to think in terms of reality. I think being a realist prepares you for future challenges down the road, be it life, business, or dating. Its too easy to block reality if you are constantly painting a false positive over everything around you.
Sabali Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 So that is what caught your eye on that site? The whole thinking positive and delusional stuff rather than the link of the woman in those jeans with an @$$ that won't quit? I saw that photo and every thing else faded to the background but I commend you on not being distracted.

Titania22 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 The positive thinking suggested is like lovely icing. If you put it on a mouldy cake, the cake doesn't suddenly become good to eat. But if you take a good look at the cake, cut out the bad bits, replace the whole with fresh cake and then ice the cake. That could be a pretty good cake. Still if you leave it on the counter for a month, the icing might still look ok, but the cake went mouldy again. So really you need to fix the cake (make observations about the problems and do something to fix them), ice the cake (positive thinking) and then eat the cake (take action) while the cake is still fresh. I hope you like the analogy.
