Taramere Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I thought it was time to throw the "women prefer bad boys" brigade a bone and start a thread celebrating Bad Boys. I'm going to kick off with one from the past (though he's still alive, to the best of my knowledge). Oh my. The slightly pock-marked face, the hard stares, the whole "sinner turned hatchet-faced preacher in the pulpit" demeanour. Most of all the voice. I surely can't be the only who, had she been around in the sixties, would have been tuning out from the Beatles and the Stones to watch and listen to this man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmdPQp6Jcdk&feature=related Oh My God. Who's next?
tigressA Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He's been in and out of rehab for alcoholism, and sure, Showtime's "The Tudors" is far from the most accurate depiction of Henry VIII's reign, but I totally would not mind risking my life birthing his bastard child.
Author Taramere Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He's very pretty. When it come to bad boys, though, I prefer them a little rough looking. With that in mind, I went onto Youtube to see what I could find in the way of Sean Bean. There were God knows how many tributes to him. I love this one..."It's raining Sean Bean and friends." !!
Jannah Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Julian McMahon on Nip Tuck. From what I've read, he isn't like that in real life though. I only watched the first couple of seasons because he was on it.
flying Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Robert Downey Jr. http://saradobie.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/iron_man_movie_image_robert_downey_jr122.jpg http://www.reviewstl.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/sherlock_holmes_robert_downey_jr.jpg Back in the '80s, I really didn't find him attractive. But now?? Whoa.

You'll be happy to know Bean will be in the upcoming 2011 HBO series A Game of Thrones if you didn't already...
Author Taramere Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 You'll be happy to know Bean will be in the upcoming 2011 HBO series A Game of Thrones if you didn't already... Thanks for the tip-off, ITG. I don't pay all that much attention to what's on tv, but I'll certainly be watching that. I've seen him in lots of things, but one that sticks in my mind was a thing written by Julie Burchill years ago. The main character (Sean Bean) loves his dog more than he loves any other member of the family. In one scene, he's got the dog throwing up in the toilet bowl after his wife tries to poison it. There's a picture of him in the bath with a dog in that Sean Bean & Friends montage. It would have been taken from that drama, but I can't remember the name of it.
Anela Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I had a big crush on Robert Downey Jr. when I was younger.

harmfulsweetz Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Hm. I'm going to go with Cam Gigandet's Ryan McCarthy in Never Back Down-muscles, and a bad boy, evil attitude to go with. *swoons*.
flying Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I had a big crush on Robert Downey Jr. when I was younger. And he can dance! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj_BbsOp7wY
northern_sky Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 (edited) OMG. Yes, that singer issss incredibly hot! I had to watch the video several times and then cool myself off. I'm sure we're in the minority, though. I showed the video to my friend and she said the guy is ridiculous and troll-like. I'm most attracted to guys who are extremely intelligent, intense, sardonic/witty and slightly cocky, simmering with barely concealed sexuality. Mmm... Especially guys whose eyes and smirk alone project a world of intensity, mischief, great conversation, sex and adventure. My friend thinks I like this type because he said I understand most people so well that I get bored unless a guy is more complicated than average and slightly hard for me to read. In real life I prefer an edge to anything truly "bad." My bad boy fantasies are mostly reserved for film and music stars who remain at a safe distance. Some of my favorite celeb bad boys: 1) Malcolm MacDowell in his CWO days. So smart and funny. So bad. His eyes are both intensely perceptive and glacial. http://content9.flixster.com/photo/11/46/15/11461591_gal.jpg 2) Che, just for his face and presence alone, not so much the idealized political crap: http://bookeats.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/cheguevara.jpg 3) Gary Oldman http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn114/hot_daily/GaryOldman1.jpg 4) Christian Slater in and only in Heathers http://www.fancast.com/blogs/files/2009/08/heathers_tv_remake_300.jpg His whip-smart dialogue in that movie didn't hurt. 5) Christian Bale http://lh3.ggpht.com/_eJYVRhvoRlg/SUfkV3bYOlI/AAAAAAAAAOI/VD9LXfDrQYE/s640/Bale.jpg 6) youngish Michael Ironside http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_0LoTWhzoRtM/StPUCPTWuyI/AAAAAAAAIy0/e6NiMR0Ta2Q/s400/Visiting-Hours-Lee-Grant-Michael-Ironside-8.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ja51IYJlbws/So649YBfGNI/AAAAAAAACWo/Y-GDuGS7rds/s400/visit7.jpg I reallly can't explain this one 7) Robert Downey Jr. of course. Although I think he's a sweetie at heart. Edited November 24, 2010 by northern_sky
Star Gazer Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I'm going the cheesy route: the character Dylan McKay.

Yvette_Sveden Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 This conversation is making me so hungry for men. I like Tom Brady and Brett Farve. I like Farve more ever since he started playing for the Vikings. Not that I'm from Minnesota, but I take special interest in that team because I'm Swedish and because vikings are near and dear to my heart because they're Swedish as well. So you see the connection here. Ok, enough with the history lesson for now. So Bret Farve with the Vikings is so sexy and hot to me. And Tom Brady is just hot. Dessa killar är så varmt. (These guys are so hot!) Yvette from Sweden.
sally4sara Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Despite not being all that hot over Harrison Ford, I loved him as Han Solo. The honorable bad boy is the best! Robert Downey is prettier now than he was back in the day. How that is possible after all the drug use and years is between him and his plastic surgeon. Now Carla Speed McNeil's graphic novel character named Jaeger? A real life him would be temping if I was single.
