souvlaki Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Girl dumping future facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in first scene: "You’re going to go through life thinking that girls don’t like you because you’re a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won’t be true. It’ll be because you’re an a**hole." Talk about incisive. This quote applies to about half the male population of LS, except, most of them aren't especially rich or smart.

And he may have been "dumped" (score 1 for the women) but who ended up the youngest billionaire in the world? I don't think he's exactly pining for her either. Saw a picture of him and his new girl. He seems to have recovered from that verbal tongue lashing just fine. I do wonder how his ex is doing. Edited October 22, 2010 by Str8noChaser

It was that line that hooked me. She was a gorgeous, articulate girl too.
Star Gazer Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 And he may have been "dumped" (score 1 for the women) but who ended up the youngest billionaire in the world? That's not the point, dude. He may be rich, but he's still an *******.
Cee Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Well, if we make this a thread about what LS can learn from Mark Zuckerberg... The rule about dipping your pen in company ink doesn't always hold up. Apparently, Mark met his current squeeze at Harvard and she (with others) helped him set up a company that became Facebook... http://www.rightcelebrity.com/?p=10217
TaurusTerp Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What people of LS can learn from this thread: some people take life lessons from ****ing movies. Jesus Christ.
Str8noChaser Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 That's not the point, dude. He may be rich, but he's still an *******. Ok, so at least ONE chick thinks he's an a**shole and we now have at least ONE chick doesn't. What's your point?
Str8noChaser Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What people of LS can learn from this thread: some people take life lessons from ****ing movies. Jesus Christ. Amen!!!!!!
Woggle Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 He might be an a hole but he is also set for life. You shouldn't knock the way somebody does things if it obviously works for them.
Author souvlaki Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Ok, so at least ONE chick thinks he's an a**shole and we now have at least ONE chick doesn't. What's your point? Most men whom this quote applies to aren't smart or lucky enough to turn into billionaires who can use their success to compensate for their poor social skills or character defects.
Jannah Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Is this the FB movie? I haven't seen it, doesn't really interest me to go see it.
Str8noChaser Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Most men whom this quote applies to aren't smart or lucky enough to turn into billionaires who can use their success to compensate for their poor social skills or character defects. But most men aren't aspiring for that billion either. Look. Just cause a guy is an a**hole (from some womans perspective) doesn't mean he cares one whit if she thinks that, is my point. So long as he gets some action, he's good. Whether the chick giving him the action feels he's an a**hole or not is of no relevancy to most men.

True, if he keeps getting rejected by women because he's a dick and he's OK with that, more power to him!
Feelin Frisky Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What people of LS can learn from this thread... is that women and "rather not say" gender LSers are not automatically immune from @ssholality. Not to point that at anyone in particular.
Str8noChaser Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 True, if he keeps getting rejected by women because he's a dick and he's OK with that, more power to him! I think you are missing the point. Being a dick also GETS you women. So in some cases it's a win/win for a man. Don't underestimate the amount of low self esteem women out there that can be charmed by a little bit of attention, coming from dickish behavior or otherwise.
Star Gazer Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 He might be an a hole but he is also set for life. You shouldn't knock the way somebody does things if it obviously works for them. Why are you equating his business success with his romantic life?
GorillaTheater Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Most men whom this quote applies to aren't smart or lucky enough to turn into billionaires who can use their success to compensate for their poor social skills or character defects. In my case, I've found that a certain je ne sais quoi compensates in large measure for my assholishness.
Str8noChaser Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Why are you equating his business success with his romantic life? Although you directed this at another poster, I'll offer, because for most men, being successful in our careers is our MAIN priority before we even factor in the woman we want by our side forever and ever. That's why another man highlighted his business success and put it on the same level as romance.
Jannah Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I think you are missing the point. Being a dick also GETS you women. So in some cases it's a win/win for a man. Don't underestimate the amount of low self esteem women out there that can be charmed by a little bit of attention, coming from dickish behavior or otherwise. Me thinks he didn't get women by being a dick, me thinks he got women, because he became the founder of FB and a billionaire.
Str8noChaser Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Me thinks he didn't get women by being a dick, me thinks he got women, because he became the founder of FB and a billionaire. Again my point is MOST men don't care HOW or WHY they get the chick they want or are with. So long as he is getting his sex too, he's doing just fine along with his billions :lmao:
carhill Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Isn't FB the scourge of relationships everywhere? He got his revenge
Jannah Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Again my point is MOST men don't care HOW or WHY they get the chick they want or are with. So long as he is getting his sex too, he's doing just fine along with his billions :lmao: Everyone has to get thier sex somehow. To quote the infamous Borat... "how does a man get the sexy time". ......
TaurusTerp Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 is that women and "rather not say" gender LSers are not automatically immune from @ssholality. Not to point that at anyone in particular. The taint of the a-hole infects all creeds and colors equally. (You like what I did there?)
that girl Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Men don't really care if a woman doesn't like us because we are a nerd or an a**hole. If you date women, you should care. Not hang your self esteem on it, but make the effort to not be an a-hole. And he may have been "dumped" (score 1 for the women) but who ended up the youngest billionaire in the world? I don't think he's exactly pining for her either. Saw a picture of him and his new girl. He seems to have recovered from that verbal tongue lashing just fine. Actually they made up the first girlfriend. He's been with the same girl since before he was famous.
