durkadurka Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I won't bother with the extraneous baggage. 4 weeks ago my ex calls, I ignore it because I'm busy moving. Return her call the next day, she misses it. Later on that night I get a flurry of texts saying she wants to talk, and she's sorry she missed my call. The next say I follow up with her and I get this 'I don't have long distance on my cell phone anymore, I can't call, and I haven't been home to use the phone.' Fast forward to this week, I get a phone call, voice mail and a text message from her saying she wants to 'check in, and she hopes everything is going well and that she's sorry she hasn't returned my call earlier but this is the first time she's been at home in a while (wtf 4 weeks? I'm sure she had time)'. Why does she not get that relationships (even just mere friendships) are like a rechargable battery. If you run down the charge enough times, it runs out of power forever. The last 3 months she's been a major jerk, and this battery can't be recharged unless she puts a ton of effort into it.
