yoga18 Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) Ok so I'm asking a question...I am not exception but rather it would seem I'm the rule! I'm just as guilty. Why do we put so much into our SO's? Its just I see all these threads on LS and man after being left for another woman divorce etc...why do we continue to stock, invest time, love,tears, grief, etc. I see all these threads and honestly it takes me back to a place I don't like. Why can we not just say "enough, I deserve better I'm done with you?" Why do we blame ourselves? I always said if someone cheated I was done, yet when I was married and that happened I did everything I could to save my marriage....why? Now don't get me wrong I'm over that loss but I stumbled onto this site and while I love it, it has pulled up fears that at any moment that damn rug could be pulled out from under me again. Honestly this person I feel is my soul mate, the love of my life, the person who makes me laugh, the person who makes me want to be better than I really am, and I sit and think to myself ok I was broken when my marriage ended (honestly he didn't even deserve one tear) if this relationship doesn't work, broken won't even begin to describe my loss. So since I've joined this site I feel a pending doom. Is it bc of all the sad stories....idk rough night I guess Edited October 21, 2010 by yoga18

Like I mentioned before I stumbled on to this site I wasn't totally sure what it was all about. Besides the beach I expect laughs, warmth, family, friends, and well happiness....this site sometimes for me its a little like a roller coaster

I would say that has been one of the obstacles I've had in meeting men. Not too many frequenting the book store lol....yea your right I guess I came on here a little blind. I'm a therapist and I do like helping others I guess I just didn't expect transference of others experiences to cause doubt in my own life....l do like a green tea does that count....I guess I just feel like my sorrows have been great and many and for once I deserve an amazing person!

Well yea like I said its weird for me love the site but damn it evokes emotions that are raw and scary so its difficult to sometimes get on here but I love it too much to stop being a member....let's just hope I've paid my dues in terms of negative men....to be continued

I think countertransference is the more appropriate term here. We don't keep green tea around here. Just take a drink. It will make it easier for your date to set up a variety of activities when he takes you out and you will be more fun by the end of the night.

Even if things don't work out so well in the end I will be glad for the experience and wisdom gained. Titania was the fairy queen? I didn't know that. I never was a fan of Shakespeare either though. The Titania I knew was no fairy queen. The things she would do would make the fairy queen blush.

When I find a man I am attracted to, I don't hold back. I just can't find them. I think they are hanging out in their moms basements making youtube videos and some such stuff. Maybe I should get a job in pizza delivery or something.

Most of the topics can be pretty depressing with all the war stories. Sometimes I don't want to be bothered with all the drama that's on here, (same **** different day) so I stay away. Works for me.
