At the moment I have a very open mind on this matter and would like to believe that Love is forever. What are your thoughts?

A parent-child relationship is/can be an intense relationship with varying levels of "love" ... it's bedrock, and no matter what someone does to upset or piss off or hurt the other person, the love is still there. romantic relationships are different, because they're mostly a response to how you're feeling about someone at the time. Unless a couple really works at establishing that bedrock, that foundation of love, it seems like the "love" is fleeting. But it's entirely possible to have a lasting love with a romantic partner, one that goes deeper than the hearts, flowers, kissy, gooey stage ... you just gotta work at it. after being with the same guy 20 years, I can definitely say that while my responses to him have varied widely, the love hasn't changed, and that should anything happen to him, I'd still carry that love for him because he's that much a part of me.

The feelings of love should intensify the longer you are with someone and not diminish. I still hold out hope that there is someone out there that feels the same way I do.

And i believe that love is the kind that lasts forever. Whether your already married and not to your true love, your no longer with them but you still love them regaurdless of why your not together. You just love them, you can't stop. That's what i believe.

I believe love lasts forever if its mutual, since it will continue to grow and build with time. But if its one sided I don't think it does, I think love is like energy and it can be transferred to another.

It's very rare that sexual passion lasts past a certain point. That's why you've got to be very sure you love the person for a lot more than their sex equipment. If you make the mistake of letting sexual chemistry dictate your feelings for somebody you are in BIG trouble!
