caramelday Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Hey you guys, I'm new here. This could actually go in both LDR and regular relationship topics but, has anyone ever broken up with someone who's said they would NEVER be with them again, and actually gave it another shot? Call it seeking hope, I just broke up with my long distance boyfriend, and he said he'd never give it a shot even though he feels we'd be much better offline. What do you guys think?
aerogurl87 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 It can happen, I did that with my ex boyfriend a few times.

I know nothing is set in stone, but hearing those words never can really throw you a curve, especially when you don't want it to end that way.
Author caramelday Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 anyone had anything similar to this happen?
madjac74 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 A breakup is rarely very pleasant even if both sides agree on it. Alot of things are said out of emotion such as "I'll never speak to you again", "i'll never come back to you", etc... NEVER is a very ridiculous claim to make in many cases unless he is a robot or something. People break up and get back together all the time. But there is usually a reason they are an ex and you need to determine if those reasons have changed or if they are something you can overlook in the future.

The first time he said he'd never be with me again, then I said it, then we both said it and somehow we kept ending back together, lol. I learned that insanity really is repeating the same mistake and thinking you'll get different results. Hence why he's an ex.
