Mellisa Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Hi ,guys, here's a few question regarding online dating. How serious do men take it?What is it that you are looking for by joining a online dating site?Sex, a quick fling, dating or a relationship? I've joined two dating site, one for about a year and a few month and the other was a few months or so.I've only get asked out by 2 men, one dated for 5 month and the other 3 dates, during which i didnt feel like we were dating at all so i'm a little confused whether it's me or it's how we met-online dating. Can how you meet the other be a factor? I dont treat guys differenly because they are the ones i meet online but do guys see it differently? Thanks!
Disillusioned Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Depends on the man. Pick-up artists probably don't take it seriously.
carhill Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Sure, to take a couple hours to stage and take photographs, write a well-thought out profile, post it and then select different women to approach and write to all indicates serious intent. I only look for LTR's or marriage with women and did meet my now exW online about 12 years ago and, comparing, see that my style and intent have changed very little. The main change is in how the women are chosen and how I feel about the interactions. To me, online dating is just another way to meet potentially (because we never really know for sure) single people who appear to want to meet others for dating and/or relationships. It's a method of communication and a way to set up meetings IRL to determine interest and/or compatibility. Every man is different. The above is one datapoint. Good luck
PhillyDude Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 men or women are not suppose to take it seriously
