"You're just meeting the wrong people" - A Catch All Statement

I see this said a lot by people , typically by friends who tell the person this, but if you really re-read that statement, it's probably not the statement to use, because it doesn't really make sense.

 

Personally, I think it's a statement that's used to make that person feel better, nothing more actually, because there's nothing you can really do about meeting the wrong people, because...well, obviously, you don't know that they're wrong for you until you've already dated or have gone out with them, right? l

 

Is this just really a "Catch all" statement?

That's what people say when they don't know what else to say. That and "you will meet somone when you least expect it" :rolleyes:

That's only part of the statement.

It should read, "you're just meeting the wrong people, falling for their BS, ignoring the red flags & getting involved with them."

 

I do in fact meet the right people.

It's just that the unstable ones rush to the front of the line cutting in front of the stable ones.

 

So it seemed like a no-brainer to go after the ones who are the least amount of work.

 

Yeah, i'm learning that might not be the route to go anymore.
