Confusedalways Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) I often saw this guy Alex at a lot of my friend Sarah's parties. I always thought he was really cute, and we would talk relatively often when we'd see each other. I thought he was really cute, but he was also really shy so I knew nothing would really come of it. Sarah thought he might 'be interested in me' but he never really did anything to show it, so I didn't really buy it. Eventually after more and more parties we added each other on facebook, and that was that. Sarah eventually moved out of the area, aka our only mutual friend, so we don't see one another anymore. Yesterday he sent me a message on facebook asking me for my number. I gave it to him, we texted for a little bit, maybe 6 or so exchanges. There was no firm end to the conversation just one of those things you can't reply to, I guess. My question really is: what happens next? I mean-- we're obviously in no real place to start texting each other about our days and so on and so forth. At the same time, he is shy. I wonder if he wanted to stay in contact (as friends) or if maybe something else was in mind?? I'm confused (always). --FWIW I'm 22 and he's 24. Edited October 17, 2010 by Confusedalways

Just text him and be like I'm going out with with friends to X and was wondering if you would like to come out. That way no pressure on you or him and if he shows up you can make some moves. Easy as 1, 2, 3!
