lolreconlol Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I'm newly single (after almost 10 months), and I have to get myself out there. I added a bunch of girls from my college, and they all accepted the friend request. What can I say to them in order to start a conversation over Facebook?

Cee Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Sometimes I chat up people by sharing an event invitation. Or post a funny video or link (but tasteful) to their wall. Chat is fine too, but sometimes it's hard to know if somebody is busy or not.

joeLove Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Based on my experience, trying to hook up through facebook, even with the people you know is quite difficult. Here is what I found works best: 1. Try to go to an open event, where some people you are interested in will go. 2. Chat them up at the event and see how things go. If the interest mutual, then ask for their phone number. If she refuses, then she is not interested ... and move on. Joe

brainygirl Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The good thing about facebook is that you can see who's online in real time and have a good idea of the indentity of the person you are talking to. The bad thing is that just because someone hasn't stated that they are dating on facebook doesn't mean they are actually single. If you see someone is online when you are, im them.
