Something romantic for a LDR

I'm currently seeing a girl, however next year I'm going overseas for a year.

I want to set up something very romantic for while I'm away but I don't know what.

I need to get it all ready while I'm still here, and I've got about 2 and a half months before I leave.

Has anyone ever done something like this for their SO?

I want something big and elaborate, the more time it takes the better. Months, if possible.

that's what I was thinking, actually.

Obviously I can't send her half way across the world, but I think a series of letters in different places could work.
