Boolou Posted October 14, 2010 Share Posted October 14, 2010 There is this one guy that hangs out with one of the same social groups that I am in and every time that we have ended up hanging out I always have a lot of fun. I think I am starting to have a thing for him, but I'm not sure. I've been getting rather tired of being single lately and part of me wonders if I just think I "like" him because we get along and he also happens to be single. (The joys of having studied far too much psychology - you can never trust what's going on inside your own head!!) On the other hand, he is not remotely my "type" in terms of what I am generally attracted to physically and certain aspects of who he is are also totally not my type - but for some reason I think it's the things that make him not my type that I like about him! So that tells me that it's not just my brain jumping on the thought of dating him simply because he's there, he's single and we get along. Anyways - part of me wants to bring it up to him sometime, but I'm not sure that's a good idea, and if it is I have no idea how to bring it up! Him and I don't hang out just the two of us ever - it's always with our mutual friends, so I'm not sure how I could even bring it up. The other issue is that our mutual friends are extremely close with both of us, so I wouldn't want to screw that up if I say something and it doesn't work out. It's only been in the last couple of months that I have really started hanging out with the part of my friends' social group that he is in and that I've been getting to know him and the other guys. We aren't at the friend stage yet where we have each others' phone numbers and call each other and etc, but when we catch each other on Facebook or whatever we'll talk about what's going on on the weekend or whatever and that kinda thing... mostly though our mutual plans are made by our mutual friends..... The other thing is that I haven't told any of our mutual friends that I'm starting to like this guy... My questions, then, are: 1. Should I say something to him? How? 2.
