At tonight's event like 20 minutes before it ended. I just went and sat beside her and introduced myself and such. Although it was mainly me asking questions about her program, if she lives in the area and what are her interests and if she is going to the event on Saturday(which she is), I felt like I couldn't get a proper chat with the girl due to me being nervous, what the club was watching and because she was on the computer listening to music. I don't know if I screwed up badly or not due to her being kind of distant, but at the end of the club meeting she came over and shook my hand and I said goodbye. I'm hoping to chat her up now on Saturday now that I got the introduction stage finally over(brutal is all I have to say to myself), but is there any way that I could interest her and get to know her better? All help is appreciated, thanks.

Isn't that what normal humans do when they get to know each other? She was probably distant because of the other things that were going on around you guys at the time. The fact that she expressly came over to shake your hand after the meeting is a good sign.

Our club usually only meets once every 2 weeks so it would be great if I could get it fast to maybe try and hangout sometime.
