ARDriver01 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 It being October, I thought some of you would find this a little interesting. Two weeks ago I was hearing loud banging noises coming from the kitchen/living room area around 3:30am. I called my cat only to find that she was lying next to me in her kitty bed and the dog was in his crate. Whatever, could be any number of things right??? A day or two later, I'm sitting on the couch, my girlfriends at work and I feel a straight up hand on my shoulder from behind. It made me turn around and, of course there's nothing behind me. I shrug it off as a muscle spasm... Last night, my girlfriend and I get home from her second tattoo session on her left arm. We're lying in bed and chatting and whatnot, I'm lying on my back, and she says "Hey! Why would you do that?!?!?" I'm like, "Do what?" "Why would you put your hand on my tattoo?!?!" and I said I didn't... She doesn't know that I was touched also a while ago and I definately wont be telling her that. So! What do you think? Anybody have anything like this happen? When I felt a hand on my shoulder, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a spasm as I've had many muscle spasms before and this felt like a slow depression on my shoulder. I mean, it made me spin around. It felt cold and endearing....
porter218 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I had a number of strange things like this happen in my last house. One of them was unforgettable. After I put my son to sleep one night in his bedroom I came back to mine and got on my computer(I think I got on LS:laugh:). After about 30min I saw a little boy my sons height with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders run past my door into the living room. I assumed it was my son being naughty trying to sneak into the living room to stay up. I jumped out of my chair trying to catch him in the living room and nobody was there. It was such a clear figure that it actually made me jump up assuming it was my son:eek:. The way my house was set up you couldn't go past my bedroom door towards the livingroom then not be in the livingroom without going back past my door. After that I am confused so I check the deck door off the living room..locked from the inside so nobody could have gone outside. I went to my sons room and he was asleep exactly as I left him. I woke him up and asked him had he gotten out of his bed. He said "no". But the direction this thing came from it had to have come from his room or the front door. The front door was also locked from the inside so it couldn't have been there. I freaked out and asked my H if he had seen anything and he said he had on other occasions but didn't say anything because he didn't know what to think of it. I finally asked my son about it the next morning and he said "maybe its my friend from the otherside of the wall". The boy was 3 at the time and that statement didn't make any sense so I hoped he was just messing with me. I never could figure it out and I am happy not to still be living there.

That gave me chills... haha.. No kidding! Think how I felt hearing that. I insisted he sleep with me for a couple months after that and even then I never could really relax. That was the first thing that I thought about on moving day..."I hope his friend from the 'otherside of the wall' doesn't come to our new home". I can laugh about it now because we don't live there anymore but it wasn't funny to me back then.
Surrealist Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 The paranormal is a reality, like it or not. The realm of the spiritual is real, like it or not. If it isn't hurting you or your family members and you are quite happy tolerating it then continue on with life. If the spiritual entities start becoming violent, or you and / or your family members start feeling harrassed or suddenly depressed or other adverse happenings out of the normal, then you might like to get it investigated. I hold some concern about the boy in the post above. This should be taken a little more seriously than just mere imagination. Just keep an eye on his well-being and if he starts becoming depressed or angry or whatever, then again, you may need to consider your property getting investigated.
tinktronik Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 As a teen, maybe 16, we lived in a big old house. It even had red shag carpet still. I was alone over a Christmas holiday, everyone else had gone out of town; in retrospect I think maybe one of my sisters was due to give birth or something. Well, it was cold-ish that year and this big house was drafty but at 16 I did not know how to get the fireplace going, it Florida and we never used it, I wasn't even sure if the chimney was safe to use. So as it got later I wandered off to bed and really late, about 3 or 4 am something woke me maybe a noise but I'm still not real sure what. I wandered toward the front of the house and no kidding there was a full on fire going in the fireplace. I armed myself with a butcher knife and searched all of the house I could get the courage up to search, made sure everything was still locked up tight, and then locked myself in my room for the rest of the night. Then I went to stay at a boyfriends house for the rest of the time everyone was gone. I have never forgotten that and still cannot explain it.

He didn't sleep alone for a long time after this. The thing that struck me is he didn't act concerned himself so I hoped that if it was real that it wasn't a bad thing. This was years ago and have sold that house since.

That's good, how many years ago was it? How old is your son now?
porter218 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 That's good, how many years ago was it? How old is your son now? maybe 2 or 3yrs ago. He is almost 6 now. He has always been a happy kid so that part leaves not much reason for concern.
Yvette_Sveden Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Ghosts would freak me out. I do think your house is haunted. My question is do you plan on staying in that house if the ghosts become more mean spirited? For example, they can leave scratches on people (I've seen a case on TV where that happened. It was a story based on actual events, so I know it wasn't a made-for-TV movie or something like that). Yvette from Sweden
