Hi.

My whole life has been based upon eating, sleeping, computer,tv,study, and in weekends you can add going to party's

Not much of a sporty type, huh.

But I've been struggling with this problem for a while.

I'm 1m80 and I weigh about 58Kg. I'm not sure if that's a normal proportion, but anyway, I'm very slim. No muscles,no fat,no nothing. (Almost skin over bone.)

Everytime I met a girl I like I decide to work out to look better, I went to the gym area with a friend and worked out there once, I didnt like it so I didnt go there anymore, and kept doing situps and stuff at home for 2 weeks, but I gave up on that too.

I also disliked me being a very skinny boy between all those muscular studs, all taking 20 KG on their weights, me taking 5KG.

Again,I met a girl, but she's really into "muscular" guys.... Sooooo: I really want to become muscular (or at least not skin-over-bones anymore) Ofcourse I want to keep doing it, not just for this girl, just to feel better too.

I never liked sports, I WANT TO like sports, but I just can't. I WANT TO Like fitness/workout/powertraining, but I cant

Is there any way to motivate myself so I like it, and I will keep doing it?

Thanks in advance,

T-Kay.

by the way, I hope you can understand my english, I'll rewrite it if it isn't clear enough

Why don't you do the powertraining thing or any kind of excersize just because you want to, not because some girl that you are crunching on likes men who are muscular. Do this for you and learn to like it to better your health. Not everything has to be done because someone likes muscular people, maybe there is more to what she likes then the physical package and would date you even if you don't have a muscular bod.

Personally, do it because you want to do it, not to try to impress a women. That is not the right reason.

As I said before, I want to do it, just to feel/look better, be healtier (what I'm at the moment isn't described as healty!)

The girl is just a good push-in-the-back

You can't make yourself like sports, well not easily, the best way is to try bunch of different ones and see what is the easiest. lifting requires you to either enjoy it or force yourself to do it, i have a similar build and i lift and it did help, but i enjoted it, the testosterone and adrenaline rush was fun. But then agai i also played basketball and baseball.

Get dumped by a long-time girlfriend and realize you're back on the market. :D It's working for me!

Seriously, I've always been very skinny as well, except in the last 5 years or so I gained a lot in the gut area. After my break-up, I didn't eat much and lost about 5 pounds, mostly in my stomach. So I took that opportunity to start watching what I eat and working out so that I can get a six-pack and also rebuild the rest of my body.

While I had unusual reasons for starting to work out, now my motivation is the fact that I'm actually starting to get results. I always used to get tired after working out, and often I would even get nauseous, which is a big reason why I never started before, or why I would do like you did and start for a while but give up. But I think the key is to do it for a while and you get to where you start craving it. Now, after a few months, I don't get sick when I work out hard anymore, and I actually look forward to going. But I didn't when I first started it wasn't like that. Also, now that I've stayed away from junk food and trained myself not to eat huge portions at meals, I find that I don't even really have an appetite for them anymore.
