Are there any women out there who don't like tattoos on a guy?

Posted

Personally I don't like tattoos; to me they scream lower class. But the majority of women seem to like them.

a lot of guys make extremely poor choices on what they get done.

I have 9 and consider them a part of who I am. If a girl doesn't like it, that's cool. There's plenty that do.

If its quality work and the pictures are artistic I think tattoos are great. Shoddy work or good work that is bad pictures, no thanks.

I'm not a huge fan, but it's not a deal breaker.

Never was a fan until my fiancé. On him they're hot. ;)

I remember there was a guy on OKCupid who emailed me. We had like a 95% compatibility rating, his profile read well and he had a really cute face, nice body...but highly visible tats. I just could not get past them so I never responded. They are a dealbreaker for me.

I don't like them. Tattoos just aren't my thing, but having them wouldn't automatically mean the guy is eliminated from my dating pool.

Tattoos remind me of high school. Maybe it's the generation I grew up in, but half the time people decided to brand or mark themselves, I know for a fact they did it out a whim or out of curiosity.

Like myself, I went through a teenage phase of getting piercings, I had my nose, lips, and tongue pierced, and even thought of getting tattoos.

I've also seen my peers getting tattoos that were more than tasteless, cartoon caritcatures and tribal drawings that had no significance except make people stare.

There is no point in getting " excessive" tattoos only to regret it later and having them laser removed.

If you feel it'll be of significance to " mark" yourself than that is still a very personal decision.

I like tattoos. Feeling Frisky does not like tattoos.

Oh thanks!

On my back, I have the Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor with "Semper Fidelis" and "Phoenix Reborn" written down the sides of the lower back in Chinese...then on my shoulders, there's an angel and devil on each side...akin to one's conscience...

I recognized the Marin coprs eagle, but couldn't figure out what the rest was. Very cool.

I have a dragon from my favorite story book as a little kid and a butteryfly . . . and might get more.

I don't mind if he has one or two small ones, but I'd never date a guy who has tons of them or are very visible. As some said, it screams low class.

Posted

Personally, I don't care for them at all.

Sometimes tats are sexy, but usually not. There's just something awkward when a person tries too hard to be 'cool' or 'edgy' in a way that's popular but doesn't really fit THEM.

Posted

It depends on 1) how the guy looks and 2) the amount of tattoos he has and where they are located.

Posted

It depends on the tattoo(s) and the guy. It isn't a yes or no thing.

....Feeling Frisky does not like tattoos.

To put it mildly. Rule of thumb: tats are always a subtraction, never an addition. Done.

A thousand pardons, my good sir. I assure you, it won't happen again. :)

I'm fairly indifferent to them, it's just way down on the list of criteria for me. My ex had a quite nice one, but I didn't like him any more or less because of it. It's a red flag if a man invests too much of his identity in them.
