worlybear Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Well,it's official- Saturday night and I've finally lost the will to live. Just spent over an hour checking out a website (no babysitter tonight) and have come to the conclusion that for some mysterious reason all the profiles that "match" me ,are of men with receding hairlines called David. I know a David and he's an o.k guy but this absolute plethora of divorced Davids is seriously off-putting. I'm sure any sad male on the same website as me feels exactly the same about a whole bunch of similar looking women with a collective name:laugh:(lol.) I can either weep and gnash my teeth, or laugh and shrug it off and go to bed (no, not with a lonely David.) Are there any other guys out there? I'm off to bed.
welikeincrowds Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I had a pretty bad rash of Jessicas a while back. It's not even that good a name. Sorry, Jessica, if you're reading this.
jerbear Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Mine were all "Ann's" Annie's... How would I know it was their middle name?!?
SilentVoice Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Haha The first three guys that contacted me on OKC names were all named David. I dated one of them and mentioned it him. He said "It is a common name you know" . Well DUH!.. he was so passive .
Kinder-Horror Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Haha. my bf is a David (not a receding hairline david though) - I never realized how freaking common David is. I knew it was a normal name.... but everyone is named DAVID!
Cee Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 It's insane how many Davids there are. I have an ex named David and my two friends are in serious relationships with a David. It gets confusing when the three of us start gossiping. On top of that there's another David in the social group. We've had to develop nicknames to keep the Davids straight.
colliejoanie Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I'm in the midst of a rash of Michaels. And rashes are never good;)>
xpaperxcutx Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 I had a rash of Alexes before, but gosh the Davids are taking over aren't they?
tigressA Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 All the Michaels I've met so far in life have been douchebags. I've met very few Davids. The last handful of guys I've dated, including my current guy, have very uncommon names--in the U.S., anyway.
Author worlybear Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 At last! I've been emailed by a Stuart!!!!(Bet his middle name is David:laugh:.)
flying Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Ha, this totally made me laugh because I've got three exes named David. None of them had a receding hairline though, so there's that. My current BF, who is not a David, likes to tease me that I had a fetish or something. :lmao: But it is an insanely common name!
CollectiveVelvet Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 My ex_H is a David and my step-sister's ex-H is a David. I've been of the opinion that Davids are just jerks, thus being divorced.

I dated three guys named Chris in a row- two in college & one right after college. The good part about it I didn't ever say the wrong name by accident.
