You might think your man-picker is not working right but you do have strong boundaries and can make healthy choices for yourself - give yourself credit for that. I hope you're feeling better and able to cope with it all more easily. It's good that you understand that the way he's acting is not personal. Abusive Rs are addictive, they create emotional dependency and it's like being in a maze. Looking from the outside you see the way out but the one inside it cannot. Lots of hugs.
