In behavioral science there is Erikson's developmental scale which defines all stages of human development. Age 20-40 is the period called 'intimacy vs. isolation'. I would adamantly say no, but if anyone has had a different experience, I'd like to hear it. From my experience, some men say in their first communications that they are looking for a LTR. Some men say it like they really mean it. But, IRL, it has never turned into a LTR with me. BTW, I am not fat.

You simply stated negative things about men who were in this age range, but it hardly represents a majority of single men at that age. You have eliminated so many variables in your statement that it's a tragedy. Plus, the post assumes that women know how to chose a decent guy (which is a biased and not always accurate response). Is it entirely possible that some of these older men are single because women are too dumb to realize the guys are a great catch......... why yes it is . I know a lot of good hearted guys, average looking, who are single and can't get a girl. I know far fewer jobless, lazy, losers and cheaters who cannot get a girl. They have so many, they don't even know what to do with them all. In summary some older guys are single because A.) they suck, and others are single because B.) women are sometimes dreadful at choosing life partners. Now go find a guy that fits into category B.

Now go find a guy that fits into category B. Women do choose a partner from the guys who have first chosen them. How many men would choose a specific female as a wife during her life time? As for me, there was only one guy who wanted to get married me. He was just OK but I got married him because it was a rational choice if I wanted to reproduce. Other women have about the same number of choices. It is about 1-3 options of males per her life time. If the women rejected your good hearted guys, the guys were probably less than OK for some reason which the women did not share with you. As for males, they have unlimited choices which include all females. The point is that a male chooses first. It is a biological advantage of being a male. All you need to do is to have strong sex drive and some brains to get what you want. That explains everything I was unable to make sense of most of that post, but I corrected the statement above. You seem to think girls have the ability to choose the best men for them, I rarely see that actually happen. What usually happens is they pick the guy who entertains them the best and makes them "feel". This usually leads to early sex, and an early exit by the guy, or worse they stick around and the guy cheats on them.
