Overprotective1992 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 k, so i dated this girl back in sophomore year, and broke up about a few months later, since then i just wanted some closure, to see if it would be any different, and she told me in time, i would just need to wait, so i did... now fast forward to now, i just graduated last June and decided to open up communication once again, things were going slow when out of the blue she asked me to find an apartment in chicago with her, but i'm planning on moving to new york city in a few months, and she was willing to come with me there, from there we talked for a good 4 hours about how we never have to lose eachother, i don't know if she means friendship wise or not, but i would like to know how to proceed from here. i don't think i can live with her and just be friends, it would be too painful.
Ajax Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Can you offer up any more details on the relationship and why it ended? It's interesting, but I don't think we know enough to give any advice.
Trovador Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Don't you find odd that you talked to her for 4 hours and you don't know where you stand in? Can you also elaborate on that, please?
Author Overprotective1992 Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 Can you offer up any more details on the relationship and why it ended? It's interesting, but I don't think we know enough to give any advice. It ended because i was terrified of rejection my sophomore year because i was cheated on just before her and distanced myself so i wouldn't get hurt, making her feel unwanted. and i haven't asked her where i stand because i have before, two years ago i tried to explain that i was totally different now, she told me she wasn't ready yet, i told her i'd wait and haven't dated anyone else since then, so i really want to take it slower and i don't want to scare her away by coming on too strong.
