A form of argument in which the existence of a counter-example to a rule is used to demonstrate the fact that a rule exists. (idiomatic) The rare occurrence of a counter-example to a rule, used to underscore that the rule exists. Examples "Entry is free on Sundays." - This implies that entry is not free on the other six days of the week. "Parking prohibited on Sundays." - This implies that parking is not prohibited on the other six days of the week. "He's committed to going out with Love&KissesXoXo" This implies that Love&KissesXoXo is the only woman for him. "He's a player and womaniser, but he's with Love&KissesXoXo" This implies that he has a roving eye but currently he's got his eyes on one particular woman. What exactly are you trying to prove?
