He attacked me, and talked so down to me complaining that I was lazy. He messed me up for a while, I wasn't able to enjoy sex without feeling self conscious (with other ppl since I left the bastard). Now I realize he was purposely trying to damage me so I wouldn't value myself, and stay with his ass. He wanted me to think I couldn't do better, that I was unworthy.

That did not sound like he did it gradually either.
