The ex-husband cheated with a big, fat, tall brassy blonde. I'm dark-haired and petite. All his prior relationships were with petite brunettes.
turnstone Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 This has been referred to again and again and the overriding answer seems to be that the OW should be attractive otherwise the BS should be offended that the WS affaired 'down'. Seems pretty ridiculous to me, the WS is going to get what he can get and as the old saying goes - you don't look at the mantelpiece when you're poking the fire. My exH's OW..... well, he goes for a 'type', certainly; I'm no exception to that and neither were the OW, although I think I'm better looking than them (as you obviously do about your exH's OW), but I would say that, would'nt I?

Good answer! Yes, there certainly was a wide variation. From the run-down alcoholic to the lady. I guess some serial cheaters just take what they can get.

Two others I knew of were early 30's, chubby red heads, attractive yet unique looking (not a bad thing at all! I thought one was extremely nice looking; the other I could see how some would) which I'd say was more his type. He pretty much said the first one who was successful and wealthy just gave him all the money he wanted and would put up with anything because she loved him, even saying he would never be with her and making comments about her daughters who were my age. Disgusting. I really had a prize of a man At the time I was in my early to mid twenties, strawberry blond with very fair skin, short, very fit (not petite as genetics has me gain weight easily-- but definitely fit, I am an Iron triathlete who works out quite a bit every day and watches what she eats, a more muscular size 2), and considered by most to be attractive. I would not be surprised that he chose those who didn't workout like I did - he hated it! I look about the same now though I am in my late twenties. My fiance's ex is a couple decades older, beautiful, much taller, much darker, and significantly bigger because she didn't work out at all and ate poorly. When they met, she was very thin and actually did some modeling. Though what she looked like wasn't really the issue, any more than what I looked like was.

I would think the cheater would take whatever he could get.. Not everyone cheats so there isn't as much room to be choosy for the cheater..

A good number of them I took as a personal insult because they were heavier, not very good looking, their personality traits matched their looks, and usually low income. Not that any of that mattered but it did confuse me for a while. But there were two of them especially the last one that were actually pretty. One lookes strangely like me, only difference was she was violent and had a drug problem, the last one was beautiful. She had long black hair and a very pretty face. She was bisexual so that alone explained why he went down that road:laugh:. This last one I handed him over on a silver platter to and actually ended up shelling out relationship advice to this OW about my H. It was a strange scenario. Now she finally left him this past summer(he never stopped cheating on her, shocker:rolleyes:) And now he hit the jackpot. He has a pretty latin girl who seem very very sweet and a high paying job like me to boot.

Well, I know it says OW/OM -- but my XAP had a nice body and pretty eyes, but his face wasn't that good looking. He was a 6 to 7 if I rated people on a 1-10 scale. My husband is an 8 or 9. It wasn't about looks so much. It was about me beings stupid. The XAP did have a lot of sexuality, but that went away as I got to know him better. I would have rather seen him show the slightest interest in getting a job.

Not to be sexist, but a male has more to lose in terms of family and financially in most cases. I always envision cheaters as choosing a newer/better looking model..... So thus again I will say anyone (outside as I say a serial cheater) who strays must really have a lousy, terrible sex life at home...... if as we see from the answers above, where the OW has not attractive...... Now what does that say????
someday Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Lets see…I’m tall and thin, long strait dark hair, naturally tan, dark eyes…….I don’t really drink, I don’t smoke, don’t do drugs, and have never been arrested…I’ve been working since I was 14 yrs old, I’ve worked my way through college, and am back in college now while working a full time job as a program director (non-profit organization that assists individuals upgrade employability skills), taking care of my two teens and H’s 2 yo granddaughter. She is short and slightly pudgy, short dark hair, fair, blue eyes… She drinks, smokes and does drugs….and has been in and out of jail (prison) many times. … As far as I know she’s never held a job very long- when H was with her he made her get a job because he wasn’t going to support her. She’s a HS drop out (I know this because she pretended to be my friend and we shared stories) and has no children. She is my complete opposite. Looks, personality, everything about us is so different.

He likes her to be a bit overweight to keep her too insecure to cheat. Everytime she goes on a diet he tries to sabotage it. He is nuts. Super insecure guy.

However to be honest after all this time it's not something I think about and I could walk past her in the street and not recognise her. He was also a gym rat, was 6 foot plus and lots of over develped muscles, all except for one. His gym drugs had left him in a little boy state, and that along with his alcoholism, made him a joke of a man. He was about 30 years old and had reached the top of his career by getting a job with a Fortune 500 company. By the time he was fired, the XW had done a number on him and spread the word of his little boy status

I just noticed that some answers gave a description of the AP with clothes on. Clothes off can be quite different. And nothing accounts for passion. I have always known that whatever the physical form, if someone got me, they got me. Hungarian women have a reputation for being hot in bed. Men with a paunch, of making women orgasm easily. Blonds for being something I never quite understood, though my male friends let me know it was a real thing. Some men are reputed to have big ones. None of this has interested me beyond tittle tattle. A passionate encounter with Mr ugly bald smelly small-d*** bed socks is better than something flat with Mr universe. Unless he really is too small!
