I can't figure this girl out , what the does she want ? Friendship or just attention?

I've known this girl for a few month now we used to text everyday and see each other through friends quite abit, occasionally I'd walk her home, and I really liked her so I decided to tell her.

 

She just said she wasn't looking for anything at the minute and that she didn't even realize I thought of her in that way, which was okay got knocked back move on.

 

I wasn't going to text her anymore and wasn't expecting any texts from her but she still texted me like we normally would for a few days then it just started to get less and less and now nothing. Can someone shed some light on why ? I have no delusions of ever getting with her but I liked her as a friend as well and she was fun to talk to.

 

I don't get why she started texting me after I told her then stopped it a couple of days later ? Why not just stop texting me like straight after and why did she text me first ?

 

Ironically while typing this I got a text from her, just asking what I'd been up to. This just adds to the confusion. I was accepting she was ignoring me and didn't want friendship, now she decided to text me at nearly 3 in the morning ?

 

All girls this weird or just the Hungarian ones ?

She was happy with the way things were going...she received lots of attention from you without having to sleep with you...so she continued to happily text with you as friends...and when you told her that you liked her and wanted to be more, she made the decision to cut you loose...

 

I feel that the random 3 am texts are just feelers to see if you are still on her hook for attention as friends...

 

Lesson to be learned: Don't start being a friend of someone you want to date. Don't exchange texts back and forth all the time before you go on your first date with the girl. Don't tell a girl out of nowhere that you like her. Ask her out on a date.
