ambee Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 in the fall of 2001, I decided to transfer college and attend school out of state. It was about an 1 and 50 min to 2 hours from my home. Two 2 1/2 months after I got there I met this great guy and we hit it off. By November we were dating. The only problem was when winter and spring break occurred we were apart, but that was fine because the breaks were temporary and we would talk on the phone. When summer break came along it was difficult, but he came and visited me and met my family and I met his. We would joke about being married and he would say things like " when we get married....." or " I would love to marry you someday....." His friends were like my friends and basically everything was all good. Jump to the fall semester of 2002. Being out of state was very expensive for my family and I wasn't on scholorship so I decided that I would go back home and attend an in-state school because it was much cheaper. So after the semester ended I told him and he was devestated. We broke up for a week, but then we decided to try again so for four months we tried to stay together and we saw each other whenever we could, about once a month with everyday phone calls. By April 2003, we just broke up and said we would be friends, it was not easy and I have not talk to him in 5 months. Today it has been exactly ten months and I miss him completely! I am totally misirable without him. I have tried to move on and meet new people at school, but it is not working. I still keep in contact with some of his friends and they told me that he does have a new girlfriend, but that have only been together for 2 months. To be honest, I don't care and I want him back. I truly believe that we are meant to be together and I am tired of waiting around. What should I do? He was my best friend
Smoove Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 Its hard and it might sound harsh but i think you have to stop being friends, bcos i believe its hurting you that he cannot commit. Dont let him control, u are your own self, dont think that if your with him that your happy. Think about yourself and give yourself time to concentrate on yourself bcos that is where you find tru happiness. Things will fall in2 place after a while, dont worry evrything has a reason and place. Just wondering do you believe in GOD? I know youve heard it all b4, but believe me follow the rules.
