lizzy22w Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 So, as the title says....men...what are your preferences in women? What makes that one person stand out? What turns you off/ sends up red flags? I have been told many different things...from the physical to emotional, but which one is more important? I am 27, curvy (I have been described as one of the greek goddess statues. lol), blonde hair, green eyes, love to laugh, laid-back, and so much more. I have had guys tells me that the physical was more important, and then others that would rather have someone who can laugh/be themselves more than anything else. I know, I know...I should know this by now, but I am curious to hear some of your answers. Thank you!
RATED-RKOFRANKLIN Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 There's plenty of men who love curvy women. Turn offs to me are being fat, style is to dress down, boring with no life, etc.
JohnnyBlaze Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I guess it depends on when you ask. Initially, of course, looks dominate. A guy's probably not going to notice your sense of humour from across the room, but he will notice your appearance. However, that is short lived. As the old saying goes, "no matter how hot she is, someone, somewhere, is tired of putting up with her s__t." You need to have a personality to match, otherwise your looks are only going to get you a lot of first drinks and five minute conversations. There's a girl that I have recently fallen for (long story in itself), so I'll use her as an example of what has attracted me to her (and in an approximate chronological order) Face (particularly eyes & hair)BumCommon ground (she just started riding when we met, she's a computer geek and she loves to read)Comfort level around her (we've shared some very personal secrets)Personality Type (low maintenance, adventuresome, is girly without being a princess ...except on her birthday, when she wears her tiara. )Her intuition of me. Funny enough, the first and last items are the two that continue to draw me to her the most. Initially, I was attracted to her because she was beautiful, but it became the little things that kept me hooked. As much as I tried not to let her, she was almost instantly able to read me like a book. I have a habit of quietly slipping away from events (I'm not big on public goodbyes). I have been able to successfully slip away from events for years now, unnoticed by even lifelong friends; she came in, and within two events, was able to tell if I was about to leave. If I'm a little quieter than usual, she'll pull me aside and try to find out why (which is impressive, since I'm usually quiet to begin with). The obvious things got me hooked; the subtle things kept me. Plus, I still love her eyes... As to what turns me off... Smoking - sorry, I just don't like kissing a smoker.Full-time princesses - accept it: your s__t stinks, just like everyone else's.Saviour - I'm fine with who I am. I don't need to be saved. I'm sure there are more things; I just can't think of them off the top of my head right now. Aesthetically, it's all dependent on the package as a whole. I've been physically attracted to a wide array of looks, so I can't really say what does or doesn't work.
