MelanieLynMarie Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Okay so my SO and I both live in two different countries. Hes an American citizen, I live in Canada. we've been trying to figure out a way for him to come here to Canada to live, study and work. We found out that if he had family living in Canada that they could sponsor him, but unfortunately, it cannot be just him (individual), has to be a family. The points system for skilled worker, won't work because we're only 18, and hes going to be starting university next year (taking a year off to work and save up). I have no idea what to do anymore. I'm so pissed and upset, and on the verge of breaking down. I just want to be with him so bad. Is anyone dealt with this, WHAT DO I DO? PS: does anyone know the immigration process for a Canadian to immigrate to US? One that could possibly apply for me.
taiko Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/exceptions.asp You're Canadian you can cross the border at anytime with no Visa as the government is not concerned that you will come and undercut the prevailing wage that union workers make as they do citizens of the so-called third World.
