I don't know if anyone has had experience with this but I want to know:

If your ex has found another is the pain of breaking up less or more?

Easier or harder to let go?

I'm not sure if whether or not they've found someone else has any bearing on the amount of pain a person feels. I guess it depends on the situation. Like on how attached you were, what kind of potential you felt the relationship had, if they found the other person while they were still with you (been there...that hurts), etc.

I'm not sure if it makes letting go any easier, although I suppose if they're off the market, it kind of forces you to do so whether you like it or not.

For an odd reason it would have prevented some suffering.

It makes the pain greater, but it also makes you want to improve. Maybe the other person is a better match, or has something you don't. In any case, accept whatever happens and move on.

For myself....it makes it harder to let go. But I realize it is my ego that is more hurt than anything else. I have to keep reminding myself of that.

It would make me feel worse, and would hurt me twice as much, especially if they ended the relationship with me just to be with that other person
