How would you feel if your husband or wife had a best friend of the opposite sex. I know couple that has a close female friend. I recently seen a picure on her facebook of her and the husband that stated that he was her best freind. If I were his wife this would make me uncomfortable. Just wondered how everyone else felt?

You should be best friends with each other.

Yeah, that wouldn't fly with me.

I think it depends a little. A lot of times it raises a red flag, but not always.

I know a couple who were introduced by the husband's female best friend. They've known each other since they were 4, nothing romantic has ever happened, and she's friends with both people and generally hangs out with them together. After knowing the wife about a month, she realized what a good match she was for her bff and set them up on their first date.

That is a relationship I wouldn't worry about.

.... No problem 'cos my spouse is my best friend as well.

.... We both have high, healthy, mature self esteem and self worth so such stuff as you mention does not bother or threaten us in any way.

Sorry that you are uncomfortable but improving your fragile and insecure self respect will fix that. Look in books or search the web for info on Self Esteem training and your issues will be over. :)
