i'm training for a 10 K april (hurray sun run!) - i have a clinic, a friend with whom to train, but i would also love to hear any forum success stories or tips from people who have completed marathons.

Well, to begin with a marathon is 26 miles. Whereas a 10K is just over 6 miles. A 5K is at 3 miles. Don't call a 10K a marathon because we haven't earned it. :D

I've only done 5K's. I'm a wuss. But good luck. It is fun. And the biggest thing I can tell you is START OUT SLOWER THAN YOU NORMALLY RUN. In fact, I would definitely pace myself slower the first few miles.
