shayan Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Honestly I see that most people on love shack are experiencing some sort of loss or pain. And well I just recently got over my ex it took me close to a year. But sometimes, I still feel sadness, and I don't feel like I need to run from it I just play piano or something. I don't think we need to run from sadness, I think it's ok to feel it, and then it goes away! What does everyone else think?
ohno89 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I think it's maybe okay to feel sad, I mean you can't really control your true feelings...sure you can control the way you deal with your emotions and what you do with them but if your heart feels something, it does... I'm guessing your sadness is coming from the simple fact that it's over..? I know that once I'm over my ex, despite everything, even if I am lucky enough to have found and fallen in love with someone amazing, I think I'll always just have a tinge of sadness because he was my first true love and for a long time, I pictured a future with him and I'll always wonder what it'd be like if things worked out... ps. love the fact that you play the piano, I wish I could!
PegNosePete Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 It's absolutely OK to feel sad. Some people like to distract themselves with loud music or keeping busy, but I prefer to feel the full range. I think it helps you process it and get through it quicker. Fouts Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 It's normal at times, but when you meet the right person, those feelings will disappear forever (that's the good part).
