TigerCub Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Yeah music definitely has its power to set the mood. I can name a million songs that I think of him and get sad to - but I wont There's a song by Linkin Park - called In Pieces that I heard while listening to an old CD of theirs the other day - and yeah that one totally hit home There's a part where he says: There's truth in your lies doubt in your faith All I've got is what you didn't take So I wont be the one be the one to leave this in pieces and you will be alone alone with all your secrets, and regrets I luv how music can take you to a different place, hit a nerve, change your mood, or help you heal... Anywhos....Good luck on your new path Star, and keep us posted
Author Star_Bright Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Those are some good lyrics, I'm going to check out that song! Yeah music has always had a very powerful effect on me. When I was with exMM feeling so happy and high, I could relate to every "good" song. Now that I hear those same songs I feel depressed and almost sick! So I've been trying to listen to some different, more empowering music. When I hear a sad song I do get sad but it's in an I-can-relate and this-helps-me-deal kind of way, not in an "I'm really depressed because I used to be very happy and now I'm sad" kind of way. If that makes any sense. I also like songs like the Evanescence one that say, dude, I can do better than this, and you're not with the program, so I'm moving on.
