Canopus Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I'd been dating this guy for a week (we're not together anymore but I can't figure this out..) Here were the facts He was an exchange studentHe would have been gone in 4 monthsHe (still) frequently talks to his ex via internet - he claimed they were just good friends nowHe said they had been broken up for 5 months but I found that she twittered to him two months before we were dating a sexual innuendo involving the both of them. Does this mean that they are still together and I was just something to keep him busy in this country. My guy friend (international student) dated this girl from his course while also having a girlfriend back at home (he told me). He told the new girl that he had "broken up" with this girlfriend back at home hence all the pictures of both of them on facebook. This got me really paranoid about international/exchange students. My guy friend told me that he still loved his girlfriend back at home but guys, men, boys have a *need* that has to be fulfilled. A *need* to sleep around, have one night stands, casually date while still caring for the official gf back at home Anyway, after we broke up, I found he wrote a poem about failed love. So I can't keep wondering if my accusations about him still having a girlfriend back in his home country were entirely mad. He adamantly said they were just friends, and he had no girlfriend. So we broke up over that. Totally confused. I really need to get over this guy but it's like I can't because I called it off based on my suspicions and am now doubting myself for being too paranoid. Was I wrong to accuse him of still having a girlfriend?
