I was told by this dude online they have these measurments exaclty what would they look like 5.10, 250 pounds 20` neck,20` arms,53` chest,28` thighs,38` waist...and said ther penis is about 10.5 long and 1.5 width...... he says hes in the Army and works out....????????

Are you telling us G.I. Joe is now available as a blow-up doll!?;)

5"10 and 250 translates to a BMI of 35.9, which is classified as obese.

The BMI is intrinsically flawed, and shouldn't be used to classify any health issues. It only takes into account height and weight, and if one works out a lot, it's ineffective.

Point taken. So le me say it this way: 250 pounds at 5'10" is a tank, at best. I'd probably call this guy fat if I met him because, no matter how much he works out, he's carrying way too much weight for his height. Muscle weighs more, sure, but not enough to offset the extra 80 pounds he's carrying around!

Where can I get the pills this guy's taking?!

i'm assuming you are intrigued by the claim of 10.5 long but note that there is no unit of measurement specified. Might be millimeters. :D Be careful what you wish for!

There's a difference though.

"Fat" is a societal definition. We call someone fat if they're too large for our tastes.

"Obese" is a medical definition. We call someone obese if we're alluding to the medical problems that arise from poor diet, genetics, or lack of exercise.

Chances are, although a bit overdeveloped, he's in great shape. He's a soldier, so he probably maintains cardiovascular health, and evidence of his resistance training should be clear from his measurements.

Medically, obesity is defined as a function of BMI -- and this guy passes the test easily. An older test said that people who weighed more than 20% over the recommended maximum for their height were obese. He passes this test, too.

You don't have to have the medical problems associated with obesity in order to be obese. Obesity refers to a condition of extreme overweight (aka fat) that can lead to medical problems, not to the medical problems themselves.

I still assert that BMI is no way to judge health, or even physical attractiveness. I understand that the US Government uses this to determine obesity, but I (and others more qualified to contend such things) don't think it has any value beyond semantics at all, at least not in 100% of the cases.

A search for BMI +flawed should turn up some people who agree with me. I forget the article I initially read, but it was full of celebrities who are attractive, and in great shape, who were overweight/obese.

My ex was 5'9" and 190 lbs. He was NOT at all fat. His family is built very sturdily; he had very powerful legs and a VERY strong upper torso that was in perfect proportion. Your guy has a much bigger chest than mine had; I suspect if he 'works out', he may be a body builder with a very large upper body. Certainly, if he's in the military, he can't be out of shape. I suspect what you have is one of those musclebound body builder types, not a fatty.

CDN, a number of research studies have concluded that abdominal fat is a better indicator than BMI of whether someone is obese. I forget the measurement but I think it's something like 90 centimetres around the belly that indicates obesity.

This guy has 60 pounds on your ex and just 1" taller. Roughly another 1/3 of a person.

Certainly, if he's in the military, he can't be out of shape.

Sure he can be. Don't take my word for it. Ask the US Surgeon General, who said in December, 2003, "... the obesity problem effects the military with 54 per cent of military personnel overweight."

(http://www.usmedicine.com/article.cfm?articleID=784&issueID=57). And here's a link to a CNN article describing how the military is trying to counter the trend of obesity among enlisted men. http://www.cnn.com/2001/HEALTH/diet.fitness/01/05/military.obesity/

I agree that there are better measures than BMI but, since these are not available to us, I am using what is. And while BMI is not perfect, it is a pretty good rough estimate. Frankly, if this guy were borderline, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. But 250 pounds at 5'10" is overweight no matter what measure you use.

By the way, is it just me or did we see this same question asked a couple of months ago?

Note that the BMI does not apply to the following: Those under the age of 20, over 65, pregnant or nursing women or very muscular atheletes.

Cdn - he has a 53" chest. That is HUGE. That is almost an entire person's height.

Posted

53" is 4 ft 5" that is much to big for a chest.

At last, something we agree on! :)

Hey, you know what? I don't really care. If he floats Wassup's boat, that's what matters.

My $.02?

Find a guy that will impress you with his charm and wit rather than with how big his bodyparts are. Whether he's truthful or not, it's a sure sign of insecurity to give measurements on specific bodyparts unless he's competing in a bodybuilding competition held at a porno convention.
