bowenmagic Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Basically I have got this massive crush on this girl that work at shop at a local shopping center of mine. She doesn't know that I exist and its kind of a love at first sight thing from my perspective. I have being pass that store on numerous occasions just getting a glimpse of her but have never worked up the courage to talk to her. After consulting friends (male and female), I have got mixed comments on what to and not to do. Basically one of my chick friends said to buy her flowers and to compliment her as a first approach (even if she doesn't know I exist) and to leave my number as a note. She said most girls will feel very flattered and special if a guy did that to them. But should I really do this as a first approach? Will it work? Or should I get to know her first before I do that (bearing in mind this will be very hard)? I just think that if I do this, she'll feel super weird and think that "hey why did a stranger just brought me flowers?" Your comments is greatly appreciated.

lab_brat Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 yeah, although i'm sure you mean it in the nicest possible way, i might get a little creeped out if i got flowers from someone i've never met before. Where does she work? Can't you start shopping there, start chatting and get to know her that way? Even if you just exchange names and talk for like a minute once or twice, then you can start to flirt/send flowers etc.
GooseChaser Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 In my opinion it would be better if you introduced yourself and got to know her a little better before you give her flowers so you're less of a stranger. Flowers would be a sweet gesture though, and would be a cute way to show that you like her romantically rather than as friends. Go for it once you've gotten to know each other better!
tylerdurden Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 NO! It would be coming too strong, go and talk to her. What do you have to lose? Answer:NOTHING
Feelin Frisky Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Yeah, icksnay on the owersflay. It would be wayyyyyy too much if you haven't even gotten some achnowledgment that you exist form her much less a smile. If she's working she is not in a position to receive flowers and it might be a little embarassing for her in her workplace socio-sphere. Buy her flowers after you deflower her to reflower her.
joeLove Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 NEVER jump into the flowers thing before even talking to her ... You probably need to read the player's guide to see how to start intro conversation with any lady ...
meerkat stew Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Didn't even read the post, just the title. NO . Don't buy flowers or gifts or drinks or anything for anyone until they have earned your favorable attention.
loverofloveandstuff Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Basically one of my chick friends said to buy her flowers and to compliment her as a first approach (even if she doesn't know I exist) and to leave my number as a note. I think your 'friend' wants you to fail. But yeah, no.
that girl Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Do not do the flowers thing. I get why your friend said it, it is very romantic in the movies. But you don't know this girl, odds are decent that you will seem like a stalker. Just talk to her. You don't mention what the shop sells, but find an excuse to talk to her in the store. You need a birthday gift for your mom/aunt/sister or you're wondering how the quality is on the bose speakers. You are not in love with this girl, you just think she is pretty.
