mlh5046 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 So I bumped into one of my old exes 2 weeks ago. We had a nice brief convo. Then I, foolishly might I add, was drunk one night a week later and texted her to just send out a feeler. The text was just stupid, calling her a dork. Well she immediately responded saying "hahah your the dork." I didn't respond after that, then about an hour later she texts me again saying "hey so why'd ya text me? I thought you were seeing someone else now?" So I'm not really asking for anyone to interpret those texts but I think there might be possible mutual interest from both of us. I am seeing a girl now, but she sucks and i really could take her or leave her, we aren;t that serious. I'd really like to ask the ex out for lunch or something next week without it coming across as me looking to date her again. So I'm thinking something like "Hey I'm going to be at Barnes and Noble studying up on some things for work. Stop by and entertain me". She always responded well to teasing and humor. But do you guys think something more serious would be better?? I just don't wanna f it up. Also worth noting she broke it off with me. And we've been no contact for about 6 months.
Karun Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 She is your ex girl man just go and ask her as you always used to in past. Don't worry every thing will be alright
JL Hancock Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 you don't have to date some one you dont like if this one dont want you. if this one wants you will she be happy you have to stop with some other one first? maybe she broke up with you for doing things this way?
Author mlh5046 Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 well my ex is the one I want. I've moved on but I'd like to see if theres anything still there. I just don't want her to immediately think I'm desperate and am dying for her back.
Mike B. Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 So I'm thinking something like "Hey I'm going to be at Barnes and Noble studying up on some things for work. Stop by and entertain me". I like this. It's light and funny and does not give much pressure. As said above, it is your ex so it shouldn't be too complicated since there is no ice to break.
