Citizen Erased Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 So you won't mind if I get two more...? Hope this is Pyro's response too.
Untouchable_Fire Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I can barely breathe just thinking about this combination of a hot guy with tattoos!! Dammit... is that why inmates get all the girls!
Pyro Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hope this is Pyro's response too. at least one more. I'd have to think of a second one.
kiss_andmakeup Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I have one tattoo, that takes up my entire upper back. When I was online dating, none of my pictures really showed it, since obviously I only posted pictures of myself from the front. I can't count how many guys I talked to and/or dated who mentioned "I don't really like tattoos on girls," and then I said "Oh, well I guess thats it then, 'cause I have a huge one!" Something along the lines of "Oh, well, if it's tasteful/creative/meaningful/blah blah blah..." usually followed. Always cracked me up. Apparently what they meant was they didn't like tattoos on unattractive girls. As for tattoos on men, love them. My boyfriend will never get one though. He's too much of a square. The only thing I can't stand are things that were just picked off a wall or out of a book...and tribal crap. Blech!
tincanman99 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 (edited) IMO the tatoo thing is out of control right now. Originally it was a sign of rebelling. Now everyone has one and so many women have them now. I have heard over and over - tramp stamp, tramp stamp about women that have them. I went on a blind date with a girl. She was really cute and I liked her but she was literally covered with them. I saw them on her thighs, peeking out from her shirt on her arms, on her neck, etc... It was just way to much. Beautiful girl with a hot body but it bothered me way to much. I have several very close friends that have them and they arent the horrible people that some people would like you to believe they are because they have tatoos. I dont mind them on a woman as long as they are small and in discreet places. Here are the places I dont like them: *Anywhere on the chest *Anywhere on the upper shoulder blades *Belly button ones are nasty IMO *Anywhere on the thighs, either inner or outer Arms, legs, pelvic region (as long as they are tiny), lower back, butt, etc are all fine. I have wanted one at times but wonder whether the desire will pass or not. Edited September 10, 2010 by tincanman99
Chicago_Guy Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I once took this girl home. She was hot, not one tat I noticed. Very primpy girl and just smokin. I dont mind tats either, but she had one. Well, we got down to biz and I found a tat. Yeah, just one. It was dead center lower pelvic area just above the ole' vajayjay. It read; Property of Peter. I couldnt go through with it. I questioned myself why I couldnt for weeks after that encounter. I just couldnt go any further. Ex boyfriend? Or was it in a literal sense? Who the hell knows. Maybe this should have been in the tacky thread. Are you serious? That is hilarious! If it happened to me, I would probably also think that the girl was skanky for getting a tattoo with a guy's name down there.
MrNate Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I've gotten very close to getting one at times, but the fact that I might become disgusted with the way they look when I turn 40 has kind of deterred me. I don't mind a few properly well placed tattoos on women, given that they've thought about if they can be covered when going into the professional field. Plus, I kind of like rocking a clean body. They're always nice to look at.
lilbunny Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I love mine, they are all very distinctive and meaningful to me. I spent an awful long time choosing them, years in some cases and the guys I tend to go for tend to have them anyway so I've never given them a thought really. Some tattoos are awful. I saw a guy on a bus the other day with a swastika on the side of his shaved head, it made me feel very uncomfortable and I question the morals of whoever took the money to do that.
USMCHokie Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I've gotten very close to getting one at times, but the fact that I might become disgusted with the way they look when I turn 40 has kind of deterred me. You just keep taking care of your body the way you are and they'll still look good at 50... No homo. Plus, I kind of like rocking a clean body. They're always nice to look at. True. No homo x 2.
WalkingtheAbyss Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I have four with a fifth in the planning stages. My estranged wife has two. On women i'm rather fussy. I dont like forearms, legs, certainly not breasts or any thing above the neck line. That may seem shallow but thats my tastes. For sake of questions, mine are on my upper arm, upper and lower back and my Daughters name on my heart.
Gattica Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 It really depends. I have been attracted to heavily tattooed men and then turned off men with only a few tattoos. A lot has to do with the overall look of the person, their personality, the tattoos themselves. I would never not go out with a man strictly based on him having tattoos. I know many guys that wouldn't date a woman or decided against it based on the woman having a tattoo(s). I have yet to get my first tattoo, but I do want two. I want one on each of my inner wrists.
spookie Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I've only seen one tattoo I really liked: a pretty tree on a girl's upper back. I don't think they're unattractive, but I tend to wonder why someone feels the need to permanently mark their body if there isn't a meaning behind it.

I have one on each wrist, choose wisely, unlike my back etc you see them all day, every day. I spent a good couple of years mulling over those ones, but I do love them now I have them. I'd have a good look at your wrist when you bend your hand upwards and avoid where your skin folds to prevent cracking.
Crazy Magnet Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I can kiss the inner wrist tattoo good bye. ~sigh~ It would go over like a ton of bricks in my profession. My BF is one of those "I don't like tattoos" on women kind of guys but I have them, and he doesn't mind. Or at least he knows better than to say he minds! I wanted one for 10 years before I actually got one and I ended up getting two a year apart. Both designed were carefully thought over and uniquely designed. They reflect who I am as a person and my life's passion. I heart my tattoos!

I have a very serious professional job and it has never been an issue at all, I even talked about mine in a job interview!!
controlledchaos Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 this cracks me up!!! i have joked with people that i want a tattoo in that same general location, but i would have it say " by invitation only" LOL. i don't think i could ever actually GET IT though.............. i mean, it's permanent after all!!!!!! Well, we got down to biz and I found a tat. Yeah, just one. It was dead center lower pelvic area just above the ole' vajayjay. It read; Property of Peter.

The one tattoo I want, I have been considering for nearly 20 years! I have always worried about what people would think and I have come to a point in my life that if you don't like it...eff off! I have been researching make up/cover up for those times I might not like the tattoo to show.
lino Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I love tattoos! I have 8 now and would like to get 3 more when I have some money to throw around on em. I don't mind if a girls has some just as long as the tattoo(s) aren't huge. ie covering her entire back, etc Now everyone has one So True! Now days you're more of an individual if you don't have one!
OliveOyl Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 This must be an age thing. I'm late 40s and have no tattoos and never will. I don't really care for tattoos on guys either. Growing up and going through college... especially in college... nobody I knew had tattoos unless they were very small. Even if I didn't mind tattoos in general, I don't think I would get one because I know I would change my opinion about what tattoo was appealing to me. But they're pretty darn permanent.
irc333 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I don't mind small, discrete tats on woman......but since I've been to some public swimming areas lately, I'm noticing these women getting these freakishly LARGE murals or mural's ALL over their body - The large tat that goes from their armpit to their hip. - Sleeve tats - Tats that cover half or MORE of their bodies. It's really getting quite disgusting these days. As an artist I never really been a big fan of tattoos. I'm not saying that I hate them, but I do find that a bunch of tattoos can look slack especially if their fairly basic. Not to mention their appearance gets even worse if you don't maintain it over the years. My girlfriend has stumbled upon a tat craze. It started off with a small tattoo in her pelvic region. I thought it was kind of cute. Then she got some fairly basic tattoos down the left and right side of her upper body. And today it was a giant turtle on her upper back. And I know she's not done. Someone asked me why am I have a growing hate towards it. At first I said that I didn't, but now I see what they're saying. I find woman to be beautiful as they are, and I would hate to see my girlfriend get lost in a bunch of tattoos. But it's her body.. She just doesn't plan it out as well as others(I'm even talking financially too), and it's all just happening so fast.
alexlakeman Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I love 1-2 SMALL tats on women... on the breast is sexy, so is lower back.. but I'm no tat expert.. I've wanted a tattoo for a longgg time...hmm 8+ years.. I just had no idea what I wanted nor I wanted a generic one of a catalog or those gay tribal craps.. Last year, with help of the ex gf I decided I wanted an evil clown face (the same one I had airbrushed on my motorcycle helmet)... it will be bad azz... Now the question is where.. I've always said I want to be able to see my tat, so forget the back... It would have to be on my upper arms, lower arms is a deal breaker with my corporate image at work, lol... but I have normal arms, no weight lifter arms.. so don't know.. chest? no way, lol.. So, who knows when / if I'll get it, it's just a matter of where it goes... If I haven't changed my mind in so many years, i doubt I'll regret it later at this point.. I also think a small ankle tat on women is sexy , or in the bikini line area? I went out with a women earlier this year and she had a small (1") red heart on her up rear shoulder... It was no big deal, couldn't say it was sexy or not, too basic.. I guess
alexlakeman Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Bump after my comment earlier today, lol... I want my roi..
controlledchaos Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 i don't think you have to have weight lifter arms to have ink on your arm. one thing to think of, other than the size of it. is do you want it to have hair? i have male friends that have tattoos with faces, etc. and it's really weird to see them with body hair. so, these guys end up shaving those areas to keep the ink hair free. just something to think about. upper arm/ shoulder area is always a good choice, depending on size. chest is good too.
Skeery Skwurlz Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Some people say tats are like potato chips- can't have just one. I'm not a fan of them myself. I got one when I turned 21 and wished I could get it removed.
tami-chan Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I'm not a fan of tattoos on anybody. But it is not a deal breaker. My BF tattooed my name in Kanji (Japanese characters) on his upper arm (nobody can really see them unless he wears a sleeveless undershirt. It is disturbing and I felt like it was done to manipulate me into staying in the relationship. Good thing we have resolved that issue. I still wish he didn't do that.
