rebeccamay Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I recently broke up with my man of 3 years. He is wonderful and I have never felt this way. He has a problem committing due to a divorce in which his wife cheated (with her best friends husband!) and took a lot of his money. He has three kids and he is the best father. His wife is still with the guy living in a new house he pretty much pays for. Rough situation! Anyway, I have done everything I can to try and show him that not all girls are like that; I love his kids and him so much! He finally broke it off because he doesn't want to ever get married and he knows I do. I want him back in my life forever. This is the most illogical break up because he loves me too; he was literally crying having a hard time letting me go. I am beyond broken hearted with the loss of 4 people I love. Please help....I want him back!!
Billie The Puppet Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Different Values can cause this to happen, I feel that's why my own relationship failed. Now you got to ask yourself was the title/ idea of celebration worth the loss? My ex wanted it, I couldn't do it When I was ready todo it , she pulled away. I'm wishing I had done it when I had the chance but perhaps we will be split still.
noctone Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Really, there's nothing you can do. Your best chance is to just let him figure it out on his own. He has to decide what he's more afraid of: commitment, or a life without you.
Author rebeccamay Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Billie, Your story is a sad one. If she truly loved you and now you are ready then she should jump at the chance. I would!! How long did it take you to "realize"? Funny, that song is the anthem to my recent relationship. And, thanks for your advice as far as whether losing him is worth the celebration. I am starting to think, at least now for the moment, that being with him forever in whatever capcity is better than being married to someone else. Really, what is marraige anyway but a certificate? Nowadays, it should be about the person.
Author rebeccamay Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Noctone, thanks I just hope he picks the second one:+)
