LoveTNT Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I love music. It helps me, although some I can't listen to right now due to memories that I'd like to not dwell on. I want to share the song that make me understand, let go, appreciate, feel hopeful to a new beginning, moving forward, cause I'm worth so much. <3 The Helio Sequence- Lately **** I love it!

Author LoveTNT Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Someone else on here pointed me to this, it's not subtle, but it brings a smile; Ahahaha, Thanks, lol I'm like laughing in the office. ALthough I'm a girl and it's towards a girl, it's hilarious, I'm like "**** you"!

Well at least you've laughed today, that's always a good thing. That Helio Sequence song is beautiful by the way, but... and I don't know if I should raise this point, I've always kind of assumed that he was only saying these things, and that he didn't actually mean he wasn't thinking of her etc. Maybe I'm wrong, that's just the way I took it. I just listened to it again actually, and I do still think that's the case, damn it's heartbreaking.
Star Gazer Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 For a chick, "Wrong Baby Wrong" by Martina McBride. Belt it out, you'll feel so much better!
leftfield Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 ..."Tell me nothing's wrong today!" ... I think the title of this one says it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-wJNpWgss8 ...The absolute classic

I'm going to stick with "I don't think of you", so it can get programmed, heh...

This song, oh my**** Delphic are indeed the business, good live too, so if you get the chance. I saw them last weekend actually at a festival (during which I spent four days of unadulterated pain and evil with the ex - you can read the gory details here if you're interested: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t243817/). I saw these guys too, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpT9Q2RBh1U&feature=related I love this song and have been listening to it for a while because of its uplifting chorus "Stick up for yourself son, never mind what anybody else done", but again, it's probably more one for the boys.

leftfield Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 A Bitch Iz A Bitch - NWA Sleeping In - Postal Service Caring Is Creepy - The Shins Gotta be careful listening to The Shins. You might suddenly find yourself crying like a baby. On a kind of related note (Garden State connection)... Frou Frou - Let Go "There's beauty in the breakdown". I think I may make that by signature motto.
shiftedblue Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I know I posted this in another thread but this song + the video really cheers me up about the break up. Yeasayer O.N.E. awesome lyrics "I won't stop til I've given you up..."

Yeasayer O.N.E. awesome lyrics "I won't stop til I've given you up..." Love that song! Makes me want to get up and dance (and I never do that). There are a few Yeasayer songs on that album that have a certain poignancy after a breakup. Good shout though!

The video cracks me up & gets me dancing too & yeah, there are definitely a few really breakup-relevant songs on Odd Blood. Maybe relevant to someone getting off drugs also- but bad relationships are a lot like drug addictions hmm...
