CailinPig Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 a musician, someone who is passionate about music, someone who is not loud or obnoxious, but he is nice and friendly, someone who probably has longish hair, not past his jaw, but kinda shaggy rocker hair, a bit of facial hair and always smells good, like of sexy aftershave, who wears jeans and t-shirts all the time. Mmmmmmm.... where is he??!! So who is your ideal partner?!

Mmmmmmm.... where is he??!! Probably lying in some motel room coming out of an alcohol-heroin-fuelled binge.... (There's stereotyping for you!!) So who is your ideal partner?! Personally, I am not so hung up on what he looks like, providing he treats me marginally better than I would treat myself. And I treat myself very well....
Author CailinPig Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 wow taramaiden, thanks for the advice, I'm gonna hang out outside the seediest motels with loads of alcohol and heroin, I'll be sure to catch someone!!! Dammit, I just realised there are no motels in ireland. right, off to the states i go!
denise_xo Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 So who is your ideal partner?! Someone who makes me want to dive into his soul, figure out how all the little cracks of his mind work, and rip all his clothes off. And who gives me plenty of space. Exactly what that looks like is secondary, but I'll happily pass on the aftershave.
Disillusioned Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 OP's dream man sounds like one of those stoners who became extinct in the 90s. Which is weird because from the early 70s up to about '95 or '96, you cold hardly walk down the street in L.A. without seeing one or hearing him address everyone as "dude". Dunno what happened (maybe that lifestyle turned out to be a dead end), but they all disappeared.

Mmmmmmm.... where is he??!! So who is your ideal partner?! I have actually met a couple guys like that! One worked at a tye-dye ..actually a couple at the tye-dye factory.. One was a substitute teacher.. Saw one at a rave.. A few dudes in funk bands.. sooooooooo.. here's my advice! *Meet the dude that's nice with jeans and a t-shirt with long hair, fall in love and then very nicely ask if he would be willing to keep his facial hair a certain way and wear a certain type of aftershave while keeping in mind that he will not really give a **** about his facial hair and will loath the aftershave but he does it anyway and you do need to give him hot sex and blowjobs for going along with it.
The Collector Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Move to Camden, North London. You can't throw a stick without hitting one (of us, though I'm an artist not a musician. And taken).

Ilovecake Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Yeah when I was in my 20s I dated a bunch of those 'rock stars' then I grew up and realized why they were all drawn to be rock stars and as far as relationships go it's not a good thing. Unless you’re also a musician chances of your relationship lasting are slim to none.
skydiveaddict Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 So who is your ideal partner?! There is no such thing anymore for me
Disillusioned Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Artsy men are soooooo sexy. Baloney! I'm artsy, and women aren't exactly trying to drop-tackle me. There is no such thing anymore for me Time to legalize human cloning. >:-)
collegeguy_24 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 My ideal partner is my most recent ex. Ironic right?
Author CailinPig Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 aw man, you're right about my ideal man. although he's HOT in my head, he probably is a druggie, or lazy, or unhygienic or something. but they can't all be horrible surely?! I'll just have to accept a raging heroin addiction. it's all about compromise, hahaha!
Eeyore79 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 My ideal man has blue eyes, brown hair, and an easy smile, and maybe a bit of a scruffy beard and glasses. He's kind of geeky and isn't exactly on the cutting edge of fashion, but he doesn't care about such things anyway. He's quiet and bookish, extremely smart, very deep and thoughtful and romantic. He loves animals, and is generally kind and caring. I think I might have met him, plus fifty pounds and minus the glasses. I'm still assessing whether he's actually deep and thoughtful and romantic, but I'm hopeful
Eclypse Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Disillusioned I'm guessing most of those washed out people you mentioned are dead now! Have you seen what Jimmy Page looks like these days? Not a pretty picture :S

Star Gazer Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 A couple weeks ago I was out on a date with a somewhat-crazy guy, but he said something that really resonated with me. During an awkwardly deep conversation, he locked eyes with me, and told me that there's a piece of my heart that no one's ever seen before. He's right. It's like there's a left side, and a right side, both of which have been seen and held and beaten and battered (and repaired)... but there's also secret place between those two halves, kinda like a pearl. No one's ever gotten there before. My dream guy is the guy who will get there, and will be undeterred by any obstacles he encounters along the way.
SadandConfusedWA Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I have absolutely no idea. Could be anyone.

denise_xo Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Oh my. Hey OPer, I think Denise qualifies as ideal. And I don't use after shave. If you don't use any other artificial scents either, it's mutual
