spookie Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Leigh... that answer is as individual as each of us. I'll tell you this, though: having worked at a strip club, I can attest to fact that men love ALL shapes and sizes of women. The most important factor seems to be confidence. I've got 25 pounds of tits and ass (mostly ass) on you, and I've never felt insecure about it. My boyfriend's rule of attraction is, "if I can't bounce it, I can't trounce it."
Knittress Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I like women who are atleast 5'7 tall and are thin wich usualy means 115lbs. Really I don't care if a girl has a little meat on her butt or hips but when a girl starts to look pregnant and then go beyond looking pregnant and get fat in the face I really get grossed out. That isn't 'thin' that's 'almost dead.' I'm 5'8" and I've been told that my LEAN BODY MASS is 115 pounds, that isn't counting anything like vital fat to cushion organs... or yeah, boobs and hips.

Some girls look good at 130 it just depends on the girl. I mean as long as you don't have a pooch ur probably fine. I've seen plenty of girls who are 5'7 and look good at 115

Agreed. That's not thin, that's "stick skinny model physique". Considering that's a BMI of 18, in a recent fashion show in Madrid all models with a BMI under 18.5 were kicked out for promoting an unhealthy body type. There is a huge range between that and a girl looking pregnant... A girl whose 5'7 and 140 would still look good and have a very healthy BMI of 21.9, FYI.

I also think the BMI is pointless. If a girl was 5'7 and 140 she would need the right amount of muscle on her or she would look fat. Also models look better skinny in their clothing and also tall.
Author Leigh 87 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Green - Thanks for your feedback; I may have had issues with my weight, but I do not want ppl to sugar coat things, either. SOme guys like the model type, but that does not mean I feel like I have to starve myself to look like that. I have D breasts, they r D even at 110 or less.... And a butt. I am also only 5 ' 6 or 5' 5 ( altho with boots 5 ' 9 or taller haha) SO, I accept that I have a curvy, thin body type, and not a tall, flat chested one. so GREEN - do u prefer girls with no breats? cos that IS the model type - at least 5 ' 7, 115 or less, and NO boobs, nothing over a B cup. AND; do guys like you ONLY feel instantly attracted to 5 ' 7 115 girls, or do even guys like u, who like petite, have a RANGE some times? For instance, if u saw a girl my size ( 119 lbs - 118 atm), that was a teeny bit shorter than 5 ' 7, ( I am 5 ' 6 - 5 ' 5), with boobs, would u just be attracted? Or do u find that guys like u, who prefer models, just are not naturally attracted to girls who r ANY thicker than 5 ' 7 and 115 lbs? 115 lbs is my goal lol, but again, I am letting my body do it naturally by eating normally. Cos obviously, MODELS who r NOT NATURALLY thin, look GROSS< cos they r starving their bodies unatturally thin. On the other hand, models who r naturally that small look healthjy, cos they ARE healthy. So I am just going to be as healthy as possible, so I LOOK healthy at 115 lbs.

I've seen plenty of girls who are 5'7 and look good at 115 Ooooooh, I weigh a great deal more than that and I look better than fine. Probably not your cup of tea, but then you definitely aren't mine and I have no shortage of admirers. I just wanted to chime in because you seem to have a grossly misinformed idea of female weight, and to spread such ideas on a thread posted by someone with an eating disorder... bad form, man.

Agreed. I'm 5'1 and 115 and I get a fair amount of male attention, from not half looking bad guys either... To each their own I suppose, but I still suspect your idea of women's weight is a little inaccurate and unhelpful on a thread like this.

I agree models who are big boned and not naturaly thin look gross when they starve themselves to get their. I just like naturaly thin slender looking girls. But I know for a fact that there are a lot of guys who are into fat girls thats just not me though. Ooooooh, I weigh a great deal more than that and I look better than fine. I was merely expressing the fact that you probably think most thin women weigh less than they actually do because the number you listed is unrealistic. I'm not going to dignify the rest of your post with an answer. Good luck if you ever get married and your wife gets pregnant!
Green Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 WOW.... I was merely expressing the fact that you probably think most thin women weigh less than they actually do because the number you listed is unrealistic. I'm not going to dignify the rest of your post with an answer. Good luck if you ever get married and your wife gets pregnant! I think its fine for a "pregnant" woman to look pregnant. Its all the women who arn't pregnant who look pregnant and worse that I don't find attractive. I do have realistic ideal as my gf is 5'7 and weighs under 115 and she is healthy and does it with out starving herself
IronMaiden Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I don't think it's fair play to jump all over Green. She ASKED for guys' honest opinions, and so one guy gives that, and it's not considered politically correct. Well, guys like what they like, and they all like different things, and that is why it is a total mistake to focus so much on every detail of your looks. I'm sorry, but I don't think you are moving ahead here, I think you are just shifting your obsession from food and how you see yourself, to how guys see you. There will be guys who like you, those who don't. Your description of yourself sounds like you are plenty attractive enough. I can tell you for sure what guys don't like. They don't like women who obsess about their looks, and who say things like, "do I look fat? Do I look ok in this dress"..on and on. That is a way to make guys run for the hills. Confidence is key, and you can't get that by looking in the mirror.
kalikula Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I stick to my point, there was no need to take it to the level that Green did by calling anyone who doesn't fit his unrealistic model-esque expectations "fat"... That was unnecessary.
somedude81 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I will take a pic soon, I've looked through every post in this thread and there are no pictures I am getting over an eating disorder and bad body image issues, and I had to gain to a BMI of 20, which I hated. I am 166cm ( 5 ' 5), and 54.5 kilos ( 120 lbs). After gaining to the BMI 20, I hope to get down to about 115 - 116 lbs naturally. I had to eat a weight gain amount to gain, but believe that once I start eating normal amounts, I wi ll naturally drop to about 116 lbs, at 5 ' 5. Congratulations on getting over your disorder. Your height and weight are perfectly fine. Girls should be soft and have fat in the right places. Having toned arms and legs is a great plus. I have DD breasts around a small rib cage ( AUSSIE 10 DD, and a 32 DD els where). I am well proportioned. Flat stomach. I have blonde hair ans light blue eyes. I am not thin/skinny, not a tiny model body type, because my body type dictates that I have large ample ( but not HUGE looking) boobs, and a bubble/ perky curvy butt.Marry me With that description it seems like you should be getting TONS of male attention. Are you just not seeing it? Or are you only interested in the really hot guys? BTW, I'm still waiting for the pictures.
meerkat stew Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I stick to my point, there was no need to take it to the level that Green did by calling anyone who doesn't fit his unrealistic model-esque expectations "fat"... That was unnecessary. He never did this. He stated his preference, and then stated that he didn't like fat women. He never said that anyone not exactly meeting his preference was fat. OP, as many have stated, BMI is a terrible measure of attractiveness or anything else. The woman with the most perfect statuary type body I've ever known weighed nearly 150 pounds at 5'7" (I put her on a scale when she told me because I couldn't believe it). She was just genetically muscular without being at all bulky. BMI is not a good focus for your health goals. Let how you feel be your guide, not numbers designed to measure general population health trends.
Author Leigh 87 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 GREEN - I absolutely appreciate your imput - I already knew that some guys like thin girls, others dont, whatever, it does nto make ME feel lesser of a person or less attractive haha. I do find that super thin girls do nto usually work out harcore, as their body types do nto allow for large muscle development. HOW can a stick thin girl have large breasts though, lol?! Well, when i was ill, which is 107 - 110 on my curvy body type, i STILL had D cup breasts. BUt that was not my natural weight haha. so yeah I am just getting imput atm, I basically KNOW that guys just like healthy, nice, decent girls, who look aftert themselves. I talk a lot on the net and I love getting other peoples persoective on a variety of subjects; I am not studying or working atm as I JUSt moved states, so I DO love this site, as it gives me access to wide range of intelligent, decent people's opinions on various matters. Thanks every one for your feedback, and although I hasve expressed disordered tendencies, I do not obsess over food or my body, I eat what I want when I want now. LOL I ate potato chips at break fast and lunch time, and raw organic sugar free chocolate for arvo/dinner, and plan to have red wine and goats cheese later on before bed. But because I take care of myself, I know how many calories I need, and know to not eat when not hungry, so I have not eaten more than I need, it is within my limit, and I am still gping a PIlates DVD and I walked today. So I maintain my flat stomach and healthy physique through relaxing and doing what I want with food. Which I think will make for a much more attractive person, that guys will like to spend time with. So d/w bout my disordered eating thougths and tendencies. I am simply interested in others opinions on this topic; I cannot sit around and discuiss such matters with reasl life people seeing as I just MOVED states, sdo this forum/website is nice for me.
Author Leigh 87 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 SOME DUDE - I do not only like the sterotypes" hot" guys at all. Although some of those guys do think I am hot. Not all, but some. I do not actually know WHAT type of guy I like, but it is instant for me, and it is not only the really hot guys I have an attraction for. It is all in the eyes for me... I like ncie strong eyes. I actually do not usually view the super hot model types as attractive. I am not attracted towards them. Because I had a trainer aty the gym recently and he told me I had a hot body and seamed to think I was decent looking. Now, when I first met him, I in NO way considered him appealing, cos I assumed he was too goo dlooking for me or whatever. It was only AFTER he expressed an interest, that I became attracted to him. .... But unfotunately I screwed up my chances w/ him, go to " I made an idiot of myself" , a thread I started ion the friendship section....
Cracker Jack Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) I prefer many types. There has never been a point in my life where I stuck with a certain preference in terms of a girls body. But if this was in regards to what I would prefer her body to look like--well, I'd love for her to be about 5'2" or 5'7" at the most, about 130-140 lbs if it's the former height (Yeah, I know) or so, and about 150-160 if she's the latter height, but not much more than that. Btw, based on your description, you sound amazing. Edited August 29, 2010 by Cracker Jack
that girl Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I like women who are atleast 5'7 tall and are thin wich usualy means 115lbs. Really I don't care if a girl has a little meat on her butt or hips but when a girl starts to look pregnant and then go beyond looking pregnant and get fat in the face I really get grossed out. 5'7" and 115 is medically underweight. 5'7" and 110 is significantly medically underweight. Maybe that is a healthy weight for your ex, but it is unusual for a woman that tall to be healthy at that weight. And the OP has a history with eating disorders, so your post really is thoughtless. Honesty is fine, but thoughtfulness doesn't have to go out the window.
Author Leigh 87 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Thanks to the ppl who r considerint my eating disorder. It is cool though, I KNOW the facts regarding realistic weights for women - only about 6% of girls r naturally BMI 18.5 - 19. And only about 25 of girls r even a BMI of 20, naturally... So even a very healthy sounding weight like mine, 119 lbs at 5 ' 5, is only attainable for about 25 % of women, TOPS. The rest r naturally heavier and would n eed to restrict calories to be my weight. I am also aware that it is actually NOT advisable for a person with a history of eating disorders to TRY to lose weight, IF they r a healhty weight already, which I am. So that is why I am not going to TRY to lose weight. I will just be healthy, have a healthy attitude to food and life, and not engage in unhealthy behaviors. If I lose any weight it will be naturally. I am seeing a therapist and journally all this down regularly, so Hopefully that will keep on on track. I know what not to do when u have an ED, and I do break the rules al ittle, such as going on a website and talking about what guys like in girls, in terms of weight. but I am pretty aware of this, but I dont care. I just want to know how guys feel on this matter. And it wont make me feel worse about my body lol, so I dont c a prob. Lastly, I am a girl, but I like looking at other girls bodies. They r hot to look at. Although I do not have sexual ferelings towards girls. Personally, I have always like slim ( but healthy) girls, around my weight or less. Which may have contributed to my initial eating disorder, cos I wanted to look hot, and that is what I thought was hot.. I also like wider hips and a thinner waste.. I actually LIKe wider hips.. like GREEN. I am not keen on breasts, I prefer the wide hips for the feminity, and small breasts. but hey I only like looking, I would never be with a girl. girls bodies r just pretty to look at:)

Author Leigh 87 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Yeah GREEN, lol, although I DO appreciate your feedback and enjoyed reading it, I want you to know that how you said " some guys likef at chicks" DID sound as though u were saying that anything HIGHER than your type of girl ( weight wise), is " fat". I am sure u did not mean to say that any one on this thread is FAT! But perhaops u can learn that HOW you said things DID sound as though u called girls higher than your type, as fat.... I personally do not like when people suggest that a weight higher than X amount is fat.... it can be really hurtful. It has happened to me. I remember back when I was a teen, a stick thin girl of about 105 or less lbs was like " gee I feel fat" or something, and I was like :" you know what, F UCK you, go stay at some one elses house tonight" and I walked away, and ended up walking allwthe way home, for about 2 hrs. ANY ways. I am sure it was nto GREENS intention to all any one fat!!!

And although I prefer my own body type at a slimish weight, please do not think that I too think other girls r fat because they r bigger than me. Most girls who r my height and smaller weigh more than me, and I do not see them as fat or big at all. it is not okay for some one, either a guy OR a girl, to say " I like X weight, and anything higher is fat". NOT polite.
meerkat stew Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 WTF? He clearly implied that. You are selectively reading until you get to the result you want... Some girls look good at 130 it just depends on the girl. I also think the BMI is pointless. If a girl was 5'7 and 140 she would need the right amount of muscle on her or she would look fat. I like girls who are a health 115 like as in they don't struggle or have to starve themselves to get there. Stating that "some guys like fat women" is not at all calling -you- or any other poster fat merely because you happened to post stats of yours at some point in the thread before he said it. Sometimes the silliness here is amazing.
