EvergreenD Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 So my girl and I have been dating for a little over 2 months. We both had just gotten out of long term relationships and wanted to take ours slow because we were both scared of being hurt again but things just ended up being so great. But anyways her dad has gotten sick like deathly sick like old people do in old age and she has to take care of him.. well yesterday she told me that she wanted to take a break until she can figure something out with her dad and all... should i be worried at all about never getting back together? i realise that we only dated for a lil over 2 months but I believe we truly loved each other..and cared for each other like none other.. what do yu guys think? Should i be worried that we'll never get back together or should I just play it cool and let her do her thing?
Don Ho Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Play it cool and back off. Her Father's illness could change things with her or it could be an excuse to back off from you. Either way there's nothing you can do. Chase her, question her, ask her what's wrong and you will lose her for sure. Just go get busy with your friends, expect the worse and let her contact you. Sorry, but you really have no choice.
BiAxident Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 As usual, Don Ho speaks truths. While it seems unfortunate that she wouldn't lean on you for support during this tough time, her father's health definitely takes priority over a two month relationship. If you give her time and space, she might thank you for it, or she might cool on you. Either way, it is the only choice at this point.
Author EvergreenD Posted August 25, 2010 Author Posted August 25, 2010 Yea I understand. Thanks. Ill just back off for now. Go NC. See what happens I guess.
Don Ho Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Right. Do not contact, especially about her Father (sick, dying or not), as she will only see that as invasive and an excuse for you to contact her. Don't do it.
