ethanr Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 This ever happen to anyone? My relatively new friend of less than a year rarely get to see one another. We (met at and) used to work together but he has been out of work since start of summer. Since he left work we've kept in touch (at his request) and have met for lunch twice now. Our friendship is more like big brother/little brother. I was his mentor at work. He's a good guy with lots of potential. Anyway its been difficult to pin him down to make plans. We had lunch yesterday first time in 2 months so we had a lot to catch up on. This is what annoyed me...during lunch he tells me he invited his friend who is an acquaintance of mine to join us. This friend is also out of work but couldn't make it. My friend, the lil' bro also goes on to tell me that he also asked his gf to tag along. I have never met her. Turns out she was busy. If either of these two had been free their appearance would have been a surprise to me. I jokingly voiced my annoyance by asking if he was afraid we'd run out of stuff to talk about. 1
