Indian guy and Latina, seen such a couple before

Okay so this is my first night on this site and I am really hoping my last as well. Thing is I am a 19 year old Indian guy about to start my second year of college and the college I go to is not that diverse. Only about 5 Latinas here, 4 already in relationships and 1 is not into men. I attended this university to save some money and spend my final two years elsewhere, I basically have a full ride but the plan is for me to go to a bigger and more diverse university for my final two years of college so soon I will be starting my transfer applications.

 

Now in the past I have dated three girls, two White and one Asian. I liked them as friends but that is all they were to me, just friends I went out with and shared a kiss or two with. I find that except for maybe Italian women, I am just not that attracted to White girls at all. I do like Indian (India) girls but my god my parents left India and that uptight culture for a reason, they don't want me to get an arranged marriage and I love them for it.

 

I always found Latin women more attractive than women of all other backgrounds but not many in the area I live in. I have heard online and in real life of Indian guy - White girl, Indian guy - Black girl and Indian guy - Asian girl couples but I have never heard of an Indian guy - Latina couple. I have two male Hispanic friends that said I am fighting an uphill battle because Latinas usually go for Hispanic guys, White guys, Black guys or in some cases East Asian guys but never Indian guys.

 

As a person I am not the typical Indian, I am about 6"2, speak in an American accent, don't have traditional parents, most of my friends are either Black or White, I am outgoing and all that but I really have been wondering for the past 3 months if any type of Indian guy would have a chance with a latin chick. How can I become the first Indian guy in the world to get with a Latina?

Also, thing is, people get shocked when I tell them I am Indian. They keep assuming that I am some White guy with a tan, some Middle Eastern guy, Filipino or some Hispanic guy. My two Hispanic male friends when they first met me thought I was Hispanic but when I told them I was Indian they looked at me like I was crazy and laughed.

 

People say that I am too tall for an Indian guy (I am only 6"1), they say my accent makes me sound more White, they say that I look Italian, Latin or something (one time an elderly Hispanic man came up to me speaking to me in Spanish and when I found out that I was Indian he looked at me in shock and walked off) and on top of that I hang mainly with Black and White people since that is all we have in the area I am in. When I go to a more "diverse" area, will I have a tough time getting with a Latin girl just because I am an Indian (India) guy?

 

Haven't been around that many Hispanic people my whole life but some of the girls I have seen have been extremely attractive.

also, if you guy's haven't noticed, I am not "dark", I am just a skin tone darker than White and I feel that may work against me in a way...

Stop overthinking it. You see a girl you think is attractive, you ask her out. She says no, on to the next. She says yes, well, go you! It's that simple, really.

But hey I have heard on so many sites and from so many people that

 

1. Latinas do not like Indian guys

2. A Latina - Indian guy pairing does not exist in the world (though I did read that Ben Kingsley has a Brazilian wife but I never even knew he was Indian)

It shouldn't matter what others say. There are billions of people in this world anyway; no chance anyone can say with any validity that such a pairing doesn't exist whatsoever, or can't ever exist. Just go for what you want.

Agree with tigress, Can't imagine the above is the case, and if it happened to be the case, nothing stopping you from being the first, unless there is some matter-antimatter reaction between Indians and Latinas that causes an explosion when they touch.

I agree many of them can be very attractive and I will tell you this from experience. As a precursor, depending on the culture of said Latina. The family is more to worry about than the girl herself. She lives in a different time, the now. Her family however, probably upholds traditions they find valuable within their culture over years past and hold dear to them.

If you find that girl, and things start to develop, keep in mind that her traditional family may not approve. Although, that does not mean it cant happen. You may face challenges.

I've never seen it but I would imagine such a couple would be HOT! I knew of a Latina who really liked Indian guys, but this was years ago and I don't know if she ever found one. Good luck!

You can't even tell who is what ethnicity anymore, everyone is mixed. Look at Tiger Woods, I mean, what ethnic group doesn't he represent? He's black, asian, etc. etc., white too!!!

So chances are that Latina woman you crave is also white, black, Asian, and purple anyway.

Indians look hispanic. So there should not be a problem appearance wise.

I am a Latina myself, and I don't think you have to worry that much. We go for whoever we feel attracted to, skin tone doesn't matter that much since we are a mixed race already. I'd say we are one of the most diverse ones.

Anyways, good luck, just give it a shot I'm sure you'll do great as long as you keep it real. Be yourself

Guess what, just as people don't instantly think South Asian when they see you there will be many Latinas that you think are Black or White because of visual cues. Second question, yes. I happen to work where an Indian community bumps up next to a Brazilian one with many UCLA international students mixed in. That is even before you count in that nearly every neighborhood in Los Angeles is Latino majority or the population is so large it can't be avoided.

Also I am not against dating White girls though Blondes just don't do it for me and in general I tend to be more attracted to the Italian look (black hair brown hair with tanned skin). Anyways, not a lot of Latinas where I live so I can't judge, the ones in the state I live in are largely Puerto Ricans from NYC and I can say they are not the type of girls most guys would date (due to them acting more "urban").

Or along Venice just north of Culver City it is not an uncommon sight. In fact no mixture, racial (Asian men with other women, Black women with other men being the generally thought of as least likely but are still seen.), sexual orientation or religious is unheard of.

I went to LA once and mostly all I saw was White guy - Asian girl or Latina and Black guy - White girl or Latina. My teacher from NYC says he knows a lot of East Indian - Puerto Rican mixed people with their fathers being Indian but that is just him.

 

Anyways I haven't heard too many good things about LA and how Indian people have it there. One of my good friends is an Arab guy in his 30s, married to a Latin chick that looks sort of White (brown hair and white skin). He says he was attacked there and called terrorist trash for being with her (this is before they were married). Anyways personal experiences eh.

Trust me, go to school, get yourself a job, earn some money, and don't have any babies from other mommas and you'll have no problem picking the latina you want, lol... its true...
