Does anyone know how to or where to look online, about finding out info about a biological parent (in my case, my father) if there are no other relatives living or that you know of that can give you info?

do you know where he was raised? If so, check the local school for old annuals/year books, you possibly can scare up information from former classmates or even teachers.

same thing with the church where he grew up. Chances are, if it's a small town, someone will remember the family. If he was raised Catholic, you can give an approximate year for baptism (remember, we dunk 'em when they're babies); wherever he was baptized is considered his "home church," and all other records of the sacraments he received will be notated on his baptismal record. Including marriage information, had he married in the Church.

if you have any idea about his work, you can also try that route. Again, if he worked in a small town, there will be someone who'll remember him, and point you in the right direction.

best of luck to you in your search, and don't give up – your answer is out there.
