mmk1 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) I have a professional event coming up where I know I will be seated with my ex. We dated for 5 years and she broke up with me 6 weeks ago. I then went NC and we've seen each other once for a moment since. Otherwise, strict NC. We have broken up and got back together several times. I would like to reconcile. (I could not decide if this should be under breaking up or second chances). What is the best course for the dinner: 1) try to stay as far away as possible; 2) limit conversation to polite, professional chit chat, nothing personal; or 3) be warm and friendly? Thanks for the advice! Edited August 17, 2010 by mmk1 Typo
Don Ho Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Ummm do not go to the dinner and if you must go, make SURE you're seated at a different table. Then do all three of what you said: 1) try to stay as far away as possible; 2) limit conversation to polite, professional chit chat, nothing personal; or 3) be warm and friendly? DO NOT deviate from your program if you MUST go to the dinner, no matter what.
Author mmk1 Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 Actually, BalenciagaSpain, I did include that fact under the otherman/other woman section with the same question under Upcoming dinner with xMW but hadnt got responses so I also posted it here as a general question. So, full disclosure. I appreciate the responses.
