DinaRahmad Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I have been with my significant other for about 2 and a half years now. We've been away from each other for about 2 years. He does come down and stuff but only once a year. I couldn't go to his place, well, because my parents are pretty strict with me going there alone and stuff. So there's a low chance or no chance at all that I can visit him and stuff at his place anytime soon. Well, the hard part is that I just can't handle the pain to see him come and go anymore. It hurts way too much and it gets harder each time he comes and leaves and he feels the same way as well. I need him around as much as he needs me and we just couldn't stand being away anymore. We can only be patient and strong for so long right? He says he's willing to move to my place and work here instead. But he just recently got a good job and I don't want him to be throwing that great opportunity for himself all away just because of me and this sort of small problem. I find that I'm being pretty selfish and it would be unfair for him. I can't move there either cause I'm just about to further my studies. With that being said, I don't know what to do and neither does he. What's your say for this?
findingnemo Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Hi DinaRahmad, I think you have no choice but to be patient. You can't move and he shouldn't move and that's the way it is for now. When do you finish school?
White Dove Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Is there any way for you to further your studies abroad, obviously in the same country as he is? If that isn't possible then there's nothing you can do BUT to be patient and wait for the right time to move closer to each other.
