piscis Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I went to a theater function yesterday and there was a line there that I liked: "Never marry a radio hoping that through the years it will turn into a LSD TV" I loved the analogy refering to women marrying men hoping they could change through the years, because they do not change unless they really want to. Anyway just wanted to share it.

Mimolicious Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Piscis, the same goes for AP that get with MP's. They get with someone hoping that they change their behavior. Happens even with simple 'dating'. Not just with people who get married.
MorningCoffee Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 The one I like says that "a woman marries a man hoping that he will change, whereas a man marries a women hoping that she won't."

Anyway just wanted to share it. Thank you for sharing this:)...it is so very true, many people get into R's with the thought of changing the OP, or hoping they will change. ExDM is where I really got the full grasp of this concept and realised if I was going to be with him, I'd better take him for the way he was. It had nothing to do with him seeing other people, as I believe he has outgrown that...these things were more like areas that we would clash...both of us are too set in our ways concerning certain things...he likes to have a hand in the decor of the home, and that's fine, I just don't like his taste in certain things... I would venture to say that some possibly most BS's saw the MP's wondering eye before M, but hoped it would go away or chose to ignore it thinking it wouldn't happen to them.
